What exactly would you be suing for? Do you think your significant other's petition should take precedence over the DACA filers and if so, why? These are people who were brought to this country by no choice of their own, they have lived here, gone to school here, most know the US as their only home. Do you propose that the government gather them all up and bus them back to where they came from? Their parents are the ones who broke the law, they didn't. They deserve a chance to stay in the only country they know, legally, they deserve the chance to become contributing members of our society. I am so tired of hearing people complain about the "illegals" who may or may not be delaying their process by a few weeks or months. Have some compassion. It isn't like these children asked for their parents to sneak them over the border.

I have heard many people answer your question with a resounding yes. Pack the kids up along with their illegal parent or parents on busses or airplanes. Send them all back to where their parents illegally brought them from or where their parents came from illegally. They can be given a certificate as they exit our border that authorizes them to apply for a visa after a 90 day waiting period back at home.

Does this sound so ridiculous? We could be talking about millions of persons. Some say 8 to 11 million illegal aliens are in the USA at this moment, depends on who's counting.

What visa?

And why 90 days, most will have a 10 year ban at least.

I am pretty much conservative, but liberatarian on some issues, so I am not registered with a party. The current president does a lot by executive fiat. The legislative branch should be writing and passing legislation, but I do agree with the principles of DACA. IMO, it is not realistic to deport so many people, especially ones who were brought here illegally as children at no fault of their own. Something had to be done. Constitutional lawyers can argue executive orders.

For a person to come and say me first and screw the rest of the world is an act of Selfishness, and non sense. Because you are saying basically process my family and then the others, if not send them back home. Well sir I want to tell you this, if you were one of these people who came not even realizing they came illegally because they are to young, you suggest that you should be deported as well. Some of these people qork harder more thwn me and you together and they wish they could pay taxes andhave rights and freedoms as me and you. Those people who yoh suggest ahould be taken out of the US, might face hardship and maybe death depending on circumstances. Some of those don't even know how the legal system work in their home country.

So I ask you to be a human and realise that the world is noy about you and me. Its about all of us whether you are legal or not. As a human they have same rights as you and me. Just because their parents crossed the boarder doesnt mean they should pay for their parents mistake.

Be a human as they are. Your family will come here, it takes time. Everything take time.

I am aware that there is no such visa. You would prefer a 10 year ban? Where is the compassion?

I said there is in most cases a 10 year ban, you wish to reduce it to 90 days I take it, why 90 days?

I am pretty much conservative, but liberatarian on some issues, so I am not registered with a party. The current president does a lot by executive fiat. So you would prefer a system where anybody in the US under the age of 18 can obtain US residency?

I am not saying that at all. As with most government programs, DACA is far from perfect. Perhaps, when the administration enacted it, they have stated that no one that enters after the date it was enacted would be eligible. There is no perfect system, but I cannot equate a child brought here by their parents with no choice to people that knowingly enter illegally.

Fine

But why discriminate against a child because they were brought in after a given date. Why is that date material?

Absolutely. I find it outright dumb and stupid when people can't differentiate LPR's and illegals. Oh well.

I see this confusion all the time in the media, even in well-respected, "serious" newspapers. It makes me nuts... girlwerewolf2xn.gif

I think next time it happens I will send the journalists links to VJ and a little explanation about what an LPR is and the money and time it takes to become a legal alien.

I was referring to the date DACA was enacted. This would have meant no one entering illegally after that would be granted status, acting as a deterrent for illegal entry. Of course, this would have had to be been done ahead of time.

These are children brought by their parents, how would it be a deterrent, they had no say in when or if they entered.
