What did you have for the Affidavit? and what form did you fill out? I might do the same.

USCIS (192 days, August 24 2011 to March 2 2012. No RFE's).
NVC (30 days, March 12 to April 11. Case expedited due to NVC errors).

Montreal US Consulate, awaiting interview date (14 days, April 12 to April 26).

05/09/2012 - medical in Toronto - passed!
05/22/2012 - interview - passed!
05/25/2012 - visa in hand!!! biggrin.png
06/09/2012 - POE @ YWG (Winnipeg Int'l Airport)

Removal of Conditions submitted March 24, 2014, received March 26, 2014

"RFE" for page 3 of application received, date March 27, 2014. Package re-submitted with all papers re-attached.

11/05/2014 - APPROVED! Citizenship in 5 months!

I haven't started looking for a job yet, I only just got my ead followed by my green card 3 weeks later (I'm using my holiday next month as an excuse... I don't want to begin a job only to leave for 2 weeks a month later- But in reality, I'm nervous). I have a job at starbucks if I want it... I worked there while in university, and don't know if I want to go back. I just feel that it is a step back after working in accounting -if that makes sense.

I am very nervous about applying for jobs in the states though; I don't know very many people here so that makes it difficult to network. I don't drive yet, and I may live in a bigger city, but public transit is not what I am used to.

I know that I just have to get it together, and job search; I just don't know where to begin.

It is easy to get down about job searching in a new place! I'm still nervous about it, knowing that I will probably be stuck down on the totem pole of applications simply because my experience is Canadian. However, don't let it get you down! You can do it. If you live in a bigger center, the transit systems usually have websites to help you navigate. If you want, send me a message - I have a few decent job search links (and other ideas) that can help - and I love helping!! Just let me know if I can :)
