While I am not in AP, my status has been "ready" ever since the interview on January 2. I knew I wasn't going to get approved at my interview because I found out shortly before interview that our lawyer did not send the Affidavit of Support (I-134). After sending the wrong affidavit (I-864), my fiance and I sorted things out and got the correct affidavit to the consulate last week (Weds. or Thurs.)

Since then, our status on the CEAC website only says "Ready". The "status updated date" has changed 2 times since January 2, but I am not sure what the 'update' would be.

I emailed the consulate and asked if they had any information, and all they would say is that they would inform us once processing has been completed.

I just hope this processing doesn't take too long -- they have my birth certificate as well as passport!

I posted above but no response, so I am hoping to gain some insight!

I was interviewed January 2 at the consulate in Vancouver Canada, but due to an incompetent lawyer who didn't submit the I-134 Affidavit of Support, we didn't get an approval that day. Since then, we sent in the affidavit so the consulate has all they need to make a decision. It's been almost 2 weeks since we submitted the papers, and our CEAC status ALWAYS says "ready". However, a few times it says "Case Updated" and the date changed for this update, however, there is no 'update'. CEAC continues to say READY.

Does anybody know why it would continue to say "Ready", even though it is also saying "Case Status Updated" -- with a new updated date?

I am really hoping to hear of an approval soon, this extra wait is really difficult, and nerve wracking.

My fiancee had her interview on the 8 Jan, and since then we have had a "Ready" status on the ceac site. Like you, only the date of the update status changed. I looked at other posts with similar situations and found that many people are placed on administrative processing or administrative review which, according to DOS lasts between 60 days to several months. What I have been able to find out through various phone calls and emails is that this is done to review the case right before they issue the visa.

My fiancee and I have been at "Ready" for 16 days and counting. I try to keep calm, but the nervousness and anxiety that uncertainty causes keeps me from getting good rest at night. I hope things work out for both of us.
