iv searched for ways to watch UK tv in the US but they all seem out of date now, anyone got any tips?

You could try using Expat Shield, it's a software that you can download for free. Expat Shield routes your IP address via a UK IP address as if you were still in the UK wherever you are in the world. It will allow you to watch online UK TV such as BBC.

Expat is the best, it will allow you to bbc I player and itv player and 4od and such like, best way to watch british tv, I miss our old tv and watch it all the time, although bbc America has some good stuff gotta love graham norton

If you are planning on using erm..."debatable as to whether they arelegal sites", Adblock is a great extension, which even blocks the ads on Youtube, but is great for streaming sites. You can find it in the chrome store.

K1 AOS:

Oh my goodness. Thank you so much. This is the first one that has ever worked convincingly.

I would happily pay 50 quid a year for this, but it is free.

I use Hola on both google chrome and firefox. If I had not gotten that I would be insane by now with the telly over here. It works on live TV and both BBC and ITV iplayers.

Tunnelbear VPN costs $3 a month for an ipad (which you can then connect to your tv) and is very reliable.

FilmOn tv streams live uk free to air channels and is free.

Uktveverywhere costs $25 a month but hooks up to your tv and allows you to record UK channels and comes complete with a 2 week programme guide.
