Awww...Like others said I'm sure it will be over in a few days. My husband is from the Middle East and it's the norm for men to get AP. His lasted a lot less than others, we were lucky. It will all be over soon and before you know it she'll be on her way to you, I promise!

Well for certain they are working with our files. I was a little concerned at first because it says READY: Your case is open and ready for your interview, fingerprints, and required documents. If you have already had your interview, please check your status after two business days. I guess the latter part is what applies to me. I'll be checking like crazy on Friday praying for it to say ISSUED..

I talked to a real-life friend this past Sunday, who brought his wife here from Indonesia two years ago. I was telling them that I was checking the website often for status updates and they both started laughing! I presumed because they had done the same thing. But they said, "No! We're laughing because if we check the website today it still says the visa is in processing!"

So, I don't know how reliable their website is. If you get information you weren't expecting, don't panic - just call!

Packet 3.5 Sent: 8/7/2014 (We had delays because of civil unrest in Pakistan)

Embassy Receive: 8/21/2014 (Again delays due to civil unrest)

Receive Appointment Letter/Interview Date: 8/27/2014 (interview date in just 9 days)!

Medical Exam: 8/29/2014 (Yikes! The whole thing has now been postponed for 2 months for TB testing)

Interview Date: Originally 9/5/2014 - Now Postponed for at least two months

TB Test Results: 10/15/2014 - came back 18 days early! And she's negative!

Interview Rescheduled 10/17/2014: (embassy moving at lightning speed)!

New Interview Date: 10/29/2014 APPROVED!!!

CEAC Updates to AP: 11/13/2014

CEAC Updates to ISSUED!! 11/14/2014

Visa In-Hand: 11/24/2014

I am not sure that's 100% accurate... I have called and emailed before and after our interview it only changed when something new happened and was applied regarding our case.

I think it means you are progressing!! :-D

NOTE: Actual sent date unknown due to lawyer negligence - I delivered ALLForms and PAID Lawyer on Nov 7, 2012 - Lawyer kept saying he sent the packet and USCIS must have lost it. When in reality he failed to send the package and only a new copy to USCIS after I made a legal written demand giving him 10 days to perform or return ALL monies paid to him, due to "non-performance".

(IMO it's better to save your money for visits to or from your Fiancé and just fill it out yourself using the K-1 Guide on VJ and Senior Members... They Rock!!!)

I don't believe that to be true. I have called DOS twice in the past 2 weeks and nothing changed. Maybe it has to be a call to the Consulate for it to change.

I just called the DOS at the number provided by LaVegano. Thank you for this. The lady that took my call said that my fiancee and I were in AP because the case number did not match the names. Apparently there is another couple with the same case numbers, with the only difference being the letters before the numbers. She mentioned that I needed to be clear with the embassy when I contact them and use the original case number that was sent from the NVC. No wonder we were getting conflicting information. And, in fact, this is probably the reason that we are in AP. I really appreciate the DOS number.
