So I called the Dept. Of State this morning and with our case in Administrative Processing am kinda of worried. Lady told me that visa will be issued early next week if not this week. I explained to her that I have read horror stories of AP cases lasting many many months. She said no not to worry your wife's visa does not fall into that category. Very relieved. Thanks Darnell I called the number you provided.

Anjos, they changed our status date to today. What does this mean?

Well for certain they are working with our files. I was a little concerned at first because it says

READY: Your case is open and ready for your interview, fingerprints, and required documents. If you have already had your interview, please check your status after two business days.

I guess the latter part is what applies to me. I'll be checking like crazy on Friday praying for it to say ISSUED..

But does it still say Administrative Processing?? Or did it change to Ready or Issued? Because my interview was 01/14/14, the status changed on 01/16/14 to Administrative Processing which concerned me a little but then I was told that it's normal. When I checked earlier today it said the status updated 01/22/14 and now it says Ready.. I'm still optimistic that by Friday it will say Issued.
