I came to the US on B2 visa, my I94 expires on the 29th. I'm looking to send out the package for AOS next Monday, which is the 27th, would it be a problem? I'm not sure if as long as I have confirmation saying it's delivered before the 29th then I won't be out of status or do I have to get the receipt from USCIS? My husband is US citizen. Thanks!

You are considered in pending status from the date of receipt of the I-485, which will be displayed on the I797 NOA and will be the date they receive & do initial processing on your application but if there is a gap it will not matter as any over stays are forgiven when you marry a USC.

Do I need to submit paperwork to explain it or if it's only a couple of days, it shouldn't matter? Thanks!

If it's only a couple of days it will not matter, it starts to matter when you get close to the 180 day mark.
