Just trying to prepare myself for the next step of the process...Does anyone know if we have to submit PCC to NVC or a beneficiery should carry it with her to the interview? I heard certain countries require physical interview letter before they can issue a PCC (e.g. India). Any insight would be helpful.luv.gif

Depends on a country by country basis. PCC can be usually presented at the consulate as well usually at the time of interview. I have obtained the PCC without an interview letter , but showing the requirement per the NVC in the past . I am not sure how easy or tough it is these days. You applied in September and your timeline could mean you get your interview late this year. I would not get a PCC this early anyway as they are valid for a year.

For India:

Yes, the beneficiary has to submit a PCC from passport office to NVC at the time of visa processing.

I am pretty sure in India you again have to take a PCC but this time time from the commissioner of police at the time of the interview.

When applying for PCC from passport office, make sure you carry copy of the the letter that NVC sends you requesting for the civil documents and also a self requestiing letter for the same.
