Impossible to Contact London Embassy

My fiancée and I received our NOA which states our petition has been accepted and forwarded to 'the listed consulate'.

However there is no listed consulate on the form.

I have tried for over an hour to get through to an actual human being to speak to to see if they have it. It's impossible. Their listed number just sends you around in circles or to websites which are useless for me.

Is there a number where I can actually speak to somebody at the US Embassy London?

Thanks

Ben

As far as i know the number is 020 3608 6998.

The only consulate it can be is London so there is no need to concern yourself about that. There is also a contact form you can e mail in to them, it's on the embassy web site.

You can check your status on the CEAC web site to see whats going on.

be handy if you filled out your timeline so people can see exactly where you are in the process and also there is a UK forum on here which is the best place to ask London embassy specific questions.

Depending on your timeline (not filled out), it may not even be at NVC yet. If you get a person on the phone at the embassy, it would not likely be somebody in the immigrant visa unit. More likely it would be somebody knowledgeable in student or tourist visas who would give you wrong info and confuse you further. London IV Unit doesn't routinely take phone calls.

You will get on the right track if you start reading this London K1 guide http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/474161-london-k1-a-complete-guide/

Even though it says it has been sent to the consulate, it will still pass through NVC where it will be assigned a case number. London will send you a "packet 3" letter when they have received it.

Unless you have some major changes/issues to discuss with the London Embassy, you're probably best to let it run its course and give it a few weeks to get through NVC and to the embassy.

I never realised there was a timeline, I will fill that out tonight :).

We've had problems with USCIS Texas refusing delivery of our I-129F forms so naturally we get quite worried ha.

I'll leave it a few weeks. Thanks guys

Hi Ben,

You can't speak to someone there, trust me I've tried lol. Try emailing LondonInfoUnit@state.gov .

They have emailed me back regarding a specific question approximately two hours later which I think is fast.

Good luck

When did you receive your NOA2? I got mine start of December and I am now just waiting for my interview date as everything else is complete. I was Texas SC too.

Read the LONDON guide, especially posts 1 and 2 for now. It walks you through it and gives phone numbers to call and alternatives to waiting. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/474161-london-k1-a-complete-guide/

There is a list of things to get done by the time you get NOA2 if you haven't read it yet.
