I don't know..Why are so many girls living in those circumstances having so many kids by so many different fathers by the age of 20.

Wash spin repeat.

Do you really think they would still do that if they knew there would be no govt money.

You should ask them. I know ones that have kids by different dads and their response was the guy wanted a kid, they gave him one, it didn't work out, so they work 2 or more jobs to pay the bills.

The issue is you see a few abusing the system, so by contrast a majority are getting their nails and hair done all while living on the dole. It takes away from the mothers who work hard to provide for those kids when the fathers arent' there.

Let me tell you something. A very small percentage of folks want to be on Govt assistance. I've never met someone saying I love government assistance! I'm sitting here balling! Please. The folks I met collecting unemployment, were just reeling from the recession back in 2008. All they said was, I'm putting in applications trying to get hired anywhere I can.

Big difference between unemployment and welfare/food stamps.

The ironic thing in all this is that some people think that this dependence on govt. assistance is actually helping people. In reality, it's just dooming them and their children, and their children's children to lives of govt. sponsored poverty.

It's a shame really. I guess as long as they keep pulling the 'D' lever in the voting booth elction after election, that's what's really important.

Trust me, I've been on food stamps before. My mom had to take them when she was going through a rough patch in her life. I was ashamed to go shopping with them. And we weren't eating grade A steak for dinner. Instead of Cheerios, you're eating toasted o's. Forget Wonderbread, the bread didn't have a name, just bread on the side of the plastic. So this whole I am loving food stamps and welfare is lost on me.

B. it was not on MSNBC, Al-Jazerra, Salon,CNN or other left wing approved sources so it is obvious right wing biased hate,no matter how many facts they quote

C. I have no idea idea how to respond to the overwhelming facts you presented, so I will just call you a derogatory names with zero reading comprehension insult you and move on, and claim I already answered the question. ( this covers the tin foil hat stupidity)

D. You are Racist and hate anyone not like you.

E-You can't comprehend what I am saying, or as they say around here between every statement.. "Know what I saying".

You know I think you are actually one of these people who believes that if he tells a bad joke enough times he'll get a laugh.

But what is the GOP going to do about it? I've heard let's get rid of govenment assistance and we hate ACA, yet what's the alternative?

That only works if you pick and choose posts. Yours was worthless, as was the one that prompted my response, and the one you quoted. It's got nothing to do with topic whatsoever, just underlines that some people have a stereotyped view of their opponents.

No surprise the reality of such a situation is different to its presentation in the gutter press.

Some people seem to think that the poor are somehow to blame for the bad economy, not the government racking up debt over decades to pay for dubious wars or giving huge tax breaks to big business and the ultra wealthy.

No, all one needs to do is find a story about an irresponsible person and it gives people something to yell at their TV about while ignoring the real problem.

I've been on food stamps as well as a child for a short time. See the difference is, your mom and my mom didn't use at as a long term means of incoome that is passed down from generation to genaration. If you grow up eating toasted O's and generic bread, then that seems normal.

The whole loving food stamps and welfare thing is lost on me as well, yet some folks are fine with it and the govt. has no problem perpetuating generation after generation of people that are fine living with the minimum to get by, as long as they don't have to work.

Pretty much. It's just so funny that they're like we need to get rid of it and Obamacare is the worst thing in history. Yet, the poor who can't afford healthcare, and the disabled who can't work, what about them?

Wars come and go. Teaching your children how to get by on as little as possible, while doing as little as possible is a gift that keeps on giving for generations.

The only reason they want to get rid of Obamacare is because the motley crew calls is Obamacare. How soon they forget that there is a lot of Romneycare and Republicare in Obamacare.

As Obama said, when Obamacare succeeds, they will no longer call it that!
