Oh I know. The only difference is they're not calling us lazy blacks(not to our faces anyway). The mentality is we'd take a corrupt person who isn't racist over a straight shooter who is one.

I have a similar mentality when voting in national elections.

on no !

what's yer position on illegial alien children being brought TO the border, allowed to walk over by CBP at a walking POE, and their illegal alien parents IN the USA, on the other side of the fence, standing there to retrieve them?

That's why I voted for Mccain the first time around. He's a vet, didn't play dirty, and was a straight shooter in my eyes. This last time? It was either Obama or not vote. The GOP couldn't get one single person who wasn't bigoted in some way to run.

The McCain of 2008 was a sham. The McCain of 2000 was the real deal. He learned that you had to kiss the a$$ of the religious nuts the way good ol GWB did in 2000. That's how yo win the nomination. Unfortunately, what it takes to win the nomination, also guarantees that you'll lose the general election. You would have thought that would have taught the RWNJs a lesson, but no they doubled down and put Romney and Ryan out there in 2012. I can't wait to see what they have in 2016. Maybe Michael Savage or Pat Robertson with Bill O'Reilly or Hannity as VP.

We already discussed. I'm following the flow of the thread, relax.

Completely agree.

That pretty much sums up the GOP, sling hate in the prelims to get the nomination, but you lose in the game because of those same stances.

At this point, they're just glad the Kenyan is leaving office. Now, the focus is on Hillary Clinton. You see Lost has already started hating on her. They have to get a head start since Chris might not make it in 2016.

The ironic thing in all this is that some people think that this dependence on govt. assistance is actually helping people. In reality, it's just dooming them and their children, and their children's children to lives of govt. sponsored poverty.

It's a shame really. I guess as long as they keep pulling the 'D' lever in the voting booth elction after election, that's what's really important.

exactly. The historic proof is there. Living off the Govt has never helped any group.

Trust me, I've been on food stamps before. My mom had to take them when she was going through a rough patch in her life. I was ashamed to go shopping with them. And we weren't eating grade A steak for dinner. Instead of Cheerios, you're eating toasted o's. Forget Wonderbread, the bread didn't have a name, just bread on the side of the plastic. So this whole I am loving food stamps and welfare is lost on me.

You mom needed help during a rough patch. that is what it is designed for.

Far too many make it a lifestyle .

So, what can you do, drop the kid off in Mexico and say good luck? What kind of parent would you even be releasing the kid back to if you could? This one....... Is a ####### sand which.

Not really. the network of 'who to pay' runs all through central america. Pay once? Travel North until caught, not matter the # of countries inbetween.

But what is the GOP going to do about it? I've heard let's get rid of govenment assistance and we hate ACA, yet what's the alternative?

AHHH good point...I can tell you what NOTHING.They don't want to really do anything, they just want to play to the base like the Dems and let the status rot continue. we have got to immediately start making it not rewarding for people to rely on the Govt. It's like Obama care. It's a god awful plan, however Repubs what you got for us..NOTHING. All i hear is kill Obama care. Ok then what.

I got a buddy who works his ####### off and always has a lead mechanic at a local shop. Premiums for Him and his wife are now 600 a month with a 2K deductible. That is not sustainable.

However two wrongs do not make a right.

Actually, the same can be said about us with true Afrcians. I've been in countries where I've encountered Africans. Once they hear me speak, their entire demeanor changes. I've heard them tell me to my face, I'm a sell out because I'm an american. Like I chose to live here or something.

see there we all mostly agree on the root. No desire to work, no desire to finish school. Why you think?

I don't think anyone is calling for an abrupt end to all govt. assistance. A first step would be to make sure this govt. assistance has conditions. It's not the govt. assistance in itself that's the problem. It's generational reliance on it.

Bingo

How about start with this..If you get Pregnant and want the Govt to pay for everything.. Fine convert an old base. Send them their, provide job training, healthcare, etc. Make them work while there. In the Laundry, the cafeteria, etc.

Take them out of the peer group that glorifies it

I bet the teen pregnancy unwed mother rate would drop like a rock

Also go after the fathers like a zealot. Make them identify fathers and DNA test. Make the fathers work, even if it's picking up paper to help pay the state back.

I bet next time someone wants to have a kid, just cause...It will be NO-Way

And before you say, the Govt should not have that kind of power. I agree, it's all totally voluntary. If you don't want the Govt to take care of you, fine go have your baby, but no handouts.

People also need to learn about personal responsibility. Government cannot solve everything. My family came here as refugees, and we were on welfare. It's a great program when used properly.

Education was instilled on us as children (I had to take ESL in grade school) by our parents, and I started working when I was 12. This taught me that money was not easy to come by and that you had to earn it. In my opinion home is where we should really start, and some people think of schools as free childcare.

Amazing how that works isn't it.. Every group that comes here seems to do well overall, including blacks from other countries. Oddly enough blacks can't get ahead here because of the color of their skin.

In order to get an education, you have to go to school. Small detail.

How about a system that rewarded parents for taking good care of their kids and making sure they finished school, stayed out of trouble etc, instead of rewarding them for giving birth.

That pretty much sums up the GOP, sling hate in the prelims to get the nomination, but you lose in the game because of those same stances.

We been hating on Hillary a long long time. Nothing new here

Actually, it makes sense if you really look at it:

Think about this last election. Remember what Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney said about losing. They lost because a large amount of people want free stuff. Not because they failed to reach all of the American People.

It's been long discussed here and IRL that the Democrats have kept the minority vote locked down because of government programs(free stuff). Ghettos? Blame a democrat. Crime? Blame a democrat. Yet when I ask about what the GOP can do for minorities, it's always, they shouldn't have to do anything for you, you do for yourself. But the GOP takes care of the rich, just not poor, black, gay, muslims, or in some cases women. Just like when you ask about ACA, what about folks who couldn't afford healthcare? Should they just go somewhere and die?

The ONLY reason the GOP is trying to reach minorities now is because we've had a two term black president. They've seen what happens when the minorities here band together.

why should any party do anything for "blacks", how about just treating all citizens equally.. Wow what a concept.
