My case in currently in i130(uscis) Process Can i apply for a tourist visa to meet my wife in usa (B1/B2 Visa)

Will it affect my current imnigration process

From what I have learnt on this forum, from experiences of other applicants, most embassies will probably not give you a tourist visa.

You are not prohibited to apply for tourist visa, but they would most probably not approve it.

You have to show them that you have joints that will lead you back to your native country after the tourist visa period, which means - permanent job, good salary, property. And you will have to prove the consulate, that these joints are stronger than the possibilities that you will stay with your spouse. This type of visa is not that expensive usually, so there is nothing wrong with trying. But, if they deny it, it is expected.

Coming from Pakistan very unlikely to get a visitor Visa.

You filed your petition at the embassy (DCF) or is that incorrect? Your wife would have to be living there with you or be a perm resident of Pakistan. Or did you file your petition in US sending to the lockbox. That makes a difference on your timing and your wait.

Yes you can apply for a tourist visa.

It will not affect the immigration process.

The chances of you being issued a tourist visa are next to nil.

June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!

April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
