You brought it up about being black at 0727 this morning. Wasn't too early to bring up black people in a conversation that once again has NOTHING to do with black people.

The conversation was about demographics relocating, specifically NYers bailing out and heading south.

In the spirit of "inclusion", I recognized that Blacks are 13% of the overall population and much more than that in NY..... so I felt obligated to include them in the same way as they might be included in a sitcom, advertising or employment at a firehouse.

But I went beyond the "tokenism" we so often see in other acts of inclusion, yup, yup,yup.... my referencing Blacks, showed that not just "some people" are moving South..... But even Black folks are too.

So to further the conversation, the question one might ask is: Who is moving to NY?

Immigrants. NYC is the only Norther city to have not had sizable population decline, it's not that people are not leaving NYC, it's just that more are arriving due to immigration, which is exactly what is happening in CA. as well.

NY has started ads to entice businesses to come to their state. Governor just said to most of those business owners don't settle here..... conservatives are not welcome. More liberals shooting them selves in the foot..

If that's the message you drew from those quotes then there isn't much to say.

Reasonable people will ignore what the Governor said. Why? Because the Governor is taking about everyone else - angry, irrational people who seem to believe they are somehow at war with their fellow citizens. People it seems, like your good self. Needless to say you don't hold a monopoly on conservative thought.
