Hi,

I have a passport that was issued by Ahmedabad RPO (at baroda PSK). My passport was issued an year ago after which I moved to Delhi. I currently reside in Delhi. I have to submit papers for NVC for F4 immigrant visa process. Following are my questions -

1) Where should I get my police clearance certificates from ?

PSK Baroda or PSK Delhi or both? I know I have to get it from PSK but which one ?

Do I also need the following police verifications done ?

Police office in Baroda ?

Police office in Delhi?

Do we need to send the originals to NVC ? Or do we give it to VFS before interview ?

Any suggestions/ experience in dealing with similar situation would be helpful

Thanks.

Hi,

If you go with your current Ahmedabad passport, just check with Delhi Regional Passport Office Inquiry counter if you can get Police Certificate from there or not, mentioning about your Ahmedabad passport( It should not be an issue, because i've seen some guys getting pcc from different cities who are not localites and having passport from different location)

Other option is: ( in case they don't allow for PCC for ahmedabad passport from Delhi)

The best option for you would be get new passport in tatkal which will get you your police certificate from Delhi PSK soon as you are already residing there since last 1 year( I hope you would have all valid rent agreement papers and etc.)..This would get you your passport on Delhi address and police verification also won't take much time.( If everything is fine you should get passport in 3-5 days)

Once you get your passport..you should apply for police certificate immediately and as your police verification was already done..you should get your police certificate in less time(15-20 days).
