I submitted the passport copy that also showed the date of arrival in bangladesh. Hope it could be an evidence.

What I submitted for our marriage evidences are (1)Marriage certificate and (2)Nikanama.

Best regards

The evidence is minimal but hopefully it will be enough for the officer who interviews the beneficiary. Typically, whatever documentation you submit to the USCIS and NVC are forwarded to the embassy officer in the respective country who then already kind of makes up their mind on whether or not they will approve the visa or not based on the evidence they look through. In other words, by the time the beneficiary goes to the interview, most officers will have already made up their mind beforehand. You should be okay with what you have.

This is the reason why it's always safer to provide as much evidence as possible with the I-130 to prove a bonafide relationship. However, there have been instances where cases are approved with little evidence, whereas, cases have been denied even with a lot of evidence; it really depends case to case.

You said that you are now at the NVC stage. I suggest you go to this link and join the NVC filers thread and start reading ahead so that you are prepared for your next steps at the NVC, if you have not already. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/472916-nvc-filers-january-2014/

At this stage, you will have to pay the appropriate fees, assign an agent, and be required to complete and meet income requirements for AOS (Affidavit of Support I-864). You will also be required to obtain (if you do not have them already) original birth certificate of beneficiary, original marriage certificate, original nikahnama (both English and Bangla), original police clearance certificate (only good for 6 months), passport size photos of beneficiary, forms with original signatures of beneficiary, and biographic page of beneficiary passport.

that is sufficient for now. If u hav send other like photos or videos, they would hav returned u by saying we wil ask if needed. These all are needed in nvc not in uscis. Hope u hav send birth certificate and police report aswell of both of u.

They will need to send those in once their IV bill is invoiced and paid.

Filed: Country: Nepal
Timeline

It varies from case to case. At the current rate, it's taking longer for approvals to come through. Expect between 4-10 months more or less.

My Pd is may 15 2013.... Approved November 1. Nvc issued number on Dec 15..... IV fee paid Jan 22. What next? When will nvc ask for the document? Edited by simmus0000

Join the NVC filers thread, read as much as you can. All of your questions will be answered there.

If NVC had already invoiced your fee online and you paid and it shows PAID online now, you can send in all the documents required per your country now. You do not need to wait for NVC to ask documents from you, it just wastes time.

Once again, my suggestion is the same to you as I did to the OP, join the NVC filers thread and read the first few posts which has a lot of FAQs and generic NVC information for you.

My personal opinion from this journey is this;

When it comes to USCIS, there is no such thing as too many documents or too much information. At the same time if you send when is being asked, you could be good. The only reason, we (all filers) tend to send other supporting documents is to avoid RFE. Now does that mean sending what is asked for would result into an RFE? Absolutely not and no one can say that.

An RFE is just an extra headache causing pains and sufferings; hence the tendency of sending data/info that isn't asked for.

I can't say if you would be all good with what you sent; however, keeping them handy won't hury if you can manage them. In case you are asked for those documents, you don't need to pass that info back, collect them and then send back to USICS. You can save yourself from that mail time. Whether it's for NVC or interview, you/your wife would need them to feel strong/confident about the interview.

Now just so that you are clear with the ask, did you read the Instruction for I-130? Do you really think a marriage certificate and Nikahnama is all they wanted for spouse?? How about the Passport size photo? A completed G325, , her birth certificate, affidavits sworn by third parties, etc., and what is deemed as other relevant documents? Just curious if you can list all the docs you sent?
