I do think its funny that this is the only holiday dedicated to one man. Well, I guess unless you count Jesus, but there's some debate as to how much of a man he was.

I don't care either.

At my company they took away Good Friday holiday and gave us MLK day off instead.

Effectively taking away Jesus and giving us MLK. laughing.gif What a joke!

Take away a Spring holiday in nice weather and give us a day off in January that is as cold as a room full of Ex wives.

I was thinking the same thing as I was sitting in traffic waiting to go to my apartment on Saturday. The roads were all closed. I asked the cop what was up, and he said it was because of an MLK day parade as he rolled his eyes.

They should change it to be in memory of the movement IMO.

MLK aint No Jesus and the weather is -5 here. What am I supposed to do on a -5 degree day?

Stay at home and spend time with your family? That's what I did on my day off.
