Hello again everyone! It's been a long time since I last made a post, but I am having some problems. In a previous thread, I stated that my Polish Passport expired in 1986. I unfortunately haven't renewed it, and now I want to,. I called the Polish Consulate, and they advised me that I would need to file forms Confirming my Polish Citizenship, (which they said was a very looong process), and then file my application for a passport. They told me this would include a lot of driving since I would need to the consulate in New York, (I'm in Cleveland) drive their to file Citizenship forms, come back to file passport forms, and come back to pick up the passport. This would mean a lot of driving for me and I can't take days off work to spend all this time driving.

So my question is, can I file a form I-134, application for USCIS reentry permit and use that as an acting passport until I apply for US citizenship and get a US passport in 2017?

Would other countries' governments allow me to enter their country on a reentry permit?

8/XX/13: Waiting for EAD so I can apply for replacement SS Card with my married last name. goofy.gif

8/17/13: Received EAD

8/29/13: Received new SS Card

9/3/13: I-485 Interview. Approved!!! took less than 30 mins.

No,

Only a refugee or asylee can obtain a travel document that will function as a passport. You're a Polish citizen and would need to travel on a Polish passport. That or wait until you become a US citizen and travel exclusively on that, although likely Poland would require you to enter Poland on a Polish passport, unless you renounced your citizenship.
