My fiancee was approved at her interview on January 14th. On the 17th our CEAC status went to "Issued". She arranged to pick up the Visa from DHL at El Polo. She called today, the 20th, to see if it had arrived at DHL yet. They told her she needed a "number" that would be e-mailed to her from the Embassy, as a reference, to let her know if the Visa was there or not. They said it was a ten digit number that the Embassy would send to her.

On the sheet of paper the Embassy gave her about how to register with DHL, it also talks about this number, and that it will be sent to her. She sees an eight digit reference number on the page that she registered with DHL, but they told her today it has to be ten digits.

What is this number? Is it the LMA number? Do we need to e-mail the Embassy to find out what this number is? We're lost. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance....

Hey! :)

What they are referring to is the "waybill' number, or tracking number. Your fiancee can log into https://usvisa-info.com/es-PE/selfservice/ss_country_welcome (the page where she registered with DHL) and once her passport is shipped, the waybill number will appear there. :) I hope this helps.

By the way, congratulations on your approval. :) I have my interview in 2 weeks! :)

-Cheers :D

Thank you so much for the information! Ironically, about an hour ago we got the e-mail from DHL with the waybill number on it, hahaha. We're extremely impatient about this process, to say the least. Wishing you the best of luck on your interview....Lore said it wasn't difficult. Remember to stay calm and you'll be just fine! Thank you again!

Oh that's great! :) And yup I am getting very anxious myself! I tend to get VERY nervous on interview and stuff... =/ So we will see how it goes. Kind of hoping to make it there for Valentines. :) But I don't think I'll get my passport back in time. Oh well :)

You may just make it by Valentine's Day. From what I understand, and what I've seen, the visa takes approximately five business days to receive. It's safe not to buy your ticket until you have the visa in hand, but Lore bought her ticket for just over three weeks after the interview (to be safe). If you have any questions, let us know....and Lore wrote a very detailed description of the interview on the Peru forum too, if it helps! :D

I wasn't really planning to buy a ticket until I had my passport in hand and I will definitely read the description of the interview. biggrin.png I am just a really nervous person, but I think I'll be fine. smile.png For now I'm waiting on my fiance's I-134 form and NOA2, he shipped them on Friday and they are still in Chicago. I hope they make it here on time.
