Hi VJ members! I would like to get some suggestions and opinions to all of you especially to my fellow kababayans who had the same situation as mine. Our case (me and my son) was already completed and we were waiting for the interview schedule to be given by the last week of the month. I am a bit worried about my son's birth certificate. It is late registered and as i searched here i found out that during the interview, the CO will look for my son's baptismal certificate in support with his late registered birth certificate, but he doesn't have that baptismal because in our religion, baptism happens when a person is at a teenage year. If i would tell the CO about that do you think it would be valid and the CO would accept my reason why i won't be able to provide my son's baptismal certificate? Is there any options or evidence i may provide and show to them? I want to be very prepared for the big day. We've waited that for years. I don't want to receive the 221g form and put our case on administrative process that may delay the issuance of our visa in the future. Really appreciate your concerns. Thankyou for your time reading my post and sharing your opinions. Godbless!

By how many month/s is the BC late registered? Worst case scenario the consul will demand for a DNA test.

Apple21 is correct most likely DNA

My Bro-in-law 5 months delayed CO recommended DNA

cost probably between $650 to $850 and takes about 2 months plus 1500 pesos for St. Lukes technician

Really? Oh my! We are not catholic that's why my son doesn't have his baptismal certificate as of this time. Pictures and other evidences won't be enough?

Basically, documents such as original NSO BC and original Baptismal Certificate are sufficient. Pictures are enough supporting evidences. It is the consul's discretion to ask for more docs/evidence since your child's BC is late registered.

I hope they won't ask for my son's baptismal certificate. Thankyou apple21! :)
