The point is, why get in a vehicle with a driver that is impaired in any way?

of course i'd choose to drive myself if those were my only two options. but really the point is that countless families and lives have been forever because possession of marijuana is criminal all while countless lives and families have been destroyed because alcohol is a horrible horrible (for those with addiction issues) legal and HEAVILY PROMOTED drug.

You're right

But I have yet to hear the argument made that pot is safe to use while driving/operating machinery. High is still impaired. Pot, shouldn't be used by productive people anymore than alcohol should be used. But if people want to be non-productive, f it. People shouldn't watch soap operas on their couch, or play video games for hours, or post pointless ####### on the internet all day.

Could he have been any more wishy-washy on the subject? He says: It is not more dangerous that alcohol, it is not as bad as heroin, but he does *NOT* favor changing its status to anything different than the same class as heroin, does not favor a change in laws, but says people should not be locked up for long stints for marijuana use.. Then says the new laws in Colorado and Washington are important but then goes on about the slippery slope of these laws if they can prove there is a dosage of cocaine or Meth is not dangerous..

Kudos for at least saying the obvious: Pot is not any more dangerous than alcohol.

Thumbs down to 20 minutes of back peddle and softening for the soccer moms and religious cry babies.

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect

you must keep in mind as well, that marijuana gets a bad rep for making people lazy or having no motivation, and yet, for people with cancer or ms or epilepsy, etc..it is the only way they can live well, and has the opposite effect.
