It doesn't hurt to ask why your NBI clearance is not accepted, sis.

When did you get your clearance, by the way? If it is recent, the only reason I can think of is that they are fussing over the NBI clearance purpose. I requested mine to be for "US Visa", but I read somewhere here that for "for travel abroad" is also acceptable.

Since my remarks was No criminal file

They said I need to attach a explanation letter from NBI...an official letter

Sorry to hear that. Yes, the clearance should indicate "No record on file" or "No derogatory record." Otherwise, you have to get in touch with NBI on how to go about this request. Good luck, sis.

Oh I'm wrong ...my nbi clearance remarks were No record on file!

I just came from Nbi IRD office...they said they can't give me an explanation since there's no request from the Mnila embassy and they can't give any explanation letter from someone who don't have criminal record. So I decided to send another copy of Nbi clearance.Thank you

The person at NBI saying there is nothing from the embassy requiring a letter is ill informed.
