I WOULD LIKE TO ASK A QUESTION ABOUT CFO PROOF OF SINGLENESS

MY FIEANCE WENT TO COMPLETE HER CFO, she was told they now have her passport for her BUT they will not give it to her without first showing my tax return a as proof of me being single. I have my returns but problem is this, the tax return says HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD and my daughter as my dependent . I am asking if anyone knows if this is ok to use , the CFO may not accept it since its not single status, but instead head of household btw HOH is only used if your single caring dependent like my daughter but do the CFO know this are they familiar of that filing status.

My 2013 taxes are not yet filed yet I should get it back in 7 weeks, it will however was filed as single. But we have our petition now in the embassy in manila so we need to get the passport as soon as possible to go forward with medical and DS160

Any advice please,

chris

Ya that is one of their latest games, when my wife went there they wanted copies of the divorce decree and death certificate. Did you fiancee have a copy of your divorce decree? If not have her use the tax return, but make sure all vital info (SSN and such) are blacked out, the return will show only you filing the return, no wife so if they are half on the ball they should figure it out.

Annoying isn't it!

I was never married but my tax returns are head of household except my next one which is single status but I have to wait 7 weeks , she needs her passport now to finish the next few steps.. head of house hold is single but it could be confusing to those CFO nut jobs ,

.... you are the only one listed in the tax return (no wife is listed) that is the best you can do.

CFO latched onto asking for a copy of the tax return not too long ago when a single guy back then had no way of showing being single (never married) and someone suggested using a tax return.... now CFO added it to there list of "demands".

When you think about the CFO seminar as being something that is to educate and inform the Filipina about immigrating - all this ####### they ask for is quite annoying.

She didn't pick up the passport because I was waiting on my tax return 2013 since it says single on it, so its ok they said if the passport was not picked up in 6 months then she will have to redo it and apply new one so its ok we will just expedite the new passport and she can take a CFO class again , but I did however find a web site that explained the head of household definition and requirement she printed it and now will bring it there in case she gets a CFO rep that don't understand HOH FILING STATUS LOL but will see thanks for all your help here

sometimes they just want to give people a hard time. I just don't get it! what sucks is they don't have a concise list of what we need to bring for the seminar.

  1. Two (2) valid identification cards (IDs) with photograph;
  2. Duly completed guidance and counseling form;
  3. If married, original and photocopy of marriage contract on security paper from the National Statistics Office, or Local Civil Registry Offices; or original and photocopy of marriage contract duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy/ Consulate (if married abroad)
  4. Other documents as may be required by the counselors; and what the hell, right?!!
  5. Payment of P400.00 counseling fee.

this lady I met during my interview told me that she didn't get her CFO sticker yet because the staff is asking for parental consent. she is 25 years old! I can only shake my head. I dread the seminar more than the embassy interview.
