Don't know if this is good news or not but I thought I'd shared with everyone. I got an email back from HCMC.

"Thank you for your inquiry. We have not scheduled an interview for

your fiancée. We will contact her as soon as the appointment is

scheduled. You or your fiancée may check back in the middle of January to

check if your fiancée is scheduled in February."

I hope I do get the interview sometime in February or sooner. :) I would love to spend Tet in Vietnam with my fiancée.

How long is the wait for a letter of interview after the consulate gets the package 3 anyway... Had I known I'd be going throught this again I'd written it down the first time

( Martindart - to answer your question ) The standard email for a typcial first time K-1 is " We will schedule her for a visa interview at the earliest opportunity. The interview is usually scheduled approximately 2-4 months after we receive the form. " where the form is the Packet 3 reply.

If you have not inquired by email or phone within the last 3 weeks, then I would try again, that would be my suggestion. You have waited so long.

Tway22,

Of course, it is good news since your fiance will be getting her interview soon. It is not the time to get into your game and show your best. Let's come out on top.

I used to be indecisive. Now I am just not sure ...

Thanks Folks!

This time I have a reaffirmed decision from the Director of Nebraska USCIS and an attorney who said he personally spoke (in person) with the visa chief in HCMC and the chief said all is fine... just waiting for the letter or notice of date of interview to arrive in Bien Hoa.

Thanks Again!

This have been a very long and trying journey.

Thanks to everyone for the support (you know who you are) over the years.

Don Nicely
