Hi All

I'm asking for any advice because now I'm desperate, the case is as follow

My wife 3 kids and I came to this country on April 15 2013 (POE)

With a I-551 stamped in our passports, when the officer sent us to a separate room they told us that the embassy in our country

Made a mistake on my wife and 2 kids alien numbers so they stamped my passport and my daughter passport as RCH (Resident Card Holder)

But my wife's and 2 kids they stamped as paroled.

Then we were told that we have to go to a different office next day, so we went to that office and the officer there show us a sarcastic smile

When he saw that we were in possession of three DOS Packages and asked us Did the officer at the POE let you have this ?

Well then the guy worked out the problem and hand written a new alien number for my wife and the 2 kids.

About a week later I received a welcome notice (Just me in the family) and like 4 weeks later I received the GC.

My daughter received an I-797 saying that the $165.00 fee was in suspense and we printed the bank account statement and send it to

To the Texas service center then like 2 months later her GC showed in the mail.

But for my wife and the other 2 kids nothing not even the welcome letter or I-797 almost 9 month has passed and we are desperate

I have called several times to the 1 800 number of USCIS and they said to wait another 30 days, we have visited several times the USCIS

Offices, same thing they said wait another 30 days but to be honest I feel that they really don't care.

The last time we went there I asked the officer that my wife's I-551 will expire soon and we have to make a short trip abroad and asked him to

Re stamp it and he said that they can not do that but he told me that she can fly with the expired I-551. then I called the air line and they told me

That no airline will allow no one to board a plane with the I-551 expired.

Now I really don't know what to do, if any of you guys have an advice, please help me out

This will be highly appreciated

hi

did each one of you pay the $165 for the gc? because if you paid you should have received the card by now.

because you only mentioned that you and your daughter paid it, but not for the rest of the family.

immigration has up to 1 year to send the GC, but now each person has to pay for the card before entering or upon entering.

if you did, keep on making infopass appointments and also have your senator intervene If necessary

ELIS processing, to receive a green card, has several back-room steps that must occur to be verified that the green cards are issued.

IF ELIS cannot verify the A-File reclamation from POE to CBP to USCIS, then processing is suspended.

Suggest you call into USCIS again, get a Tier 2 Human, an ISO,

and verify that the visa packets moved from that other office on day 2, into USCIS.

Getting an ISO on the telephone is not a trivial task, and you must be able to engage the ISO to actually look. putting in a service request is a waste of time, as the ISO has in front of them, the scanned routing points on that visa packet / A-File.

Sorry you're having troubles - at some point you must also ask for some ELIS support with the ISO as well, after determining where the visa packets are.

It may be that you have to get back to the 2nd office and talk with the shift supervisor, as they should have the paper trail of visa packet movement .

[administrivia] - since yer back asking pertinent questions , I beg of you - make the time to fill out an official timeline, over at

Yes I did pay for all of us, they asked in the USCIS office for the proof and I gave them the statement of my account showing the tracking info on the payments

IMO, the problem is location of the visa-packets. You can get most of this sorted over the telephone, with an ISO, but be prepared for a long slog until it's resolved.

or reread my prior post to you.

Well I called them on last Tuesday and after talking with the first level officer he told me that he will

Transfer the call to a L2 officer then guess what a recorded message saying that the were having

Problems with communications and asking me to email them.

JAJAJA

Today I called them first officer said he will transfer the call to a L2 officer, then the recorded message said

That the estimated waiting time will be 129 minutes, then it said about t he option of them call me back so

I did it and wait 2 hrs and they call me back. Then I was talking with L2 officer at last I explained him everything

And he asked me to hold on the line while he will call the CBP office where my DOS packages where received

And then a busy tone sounded ( He hang up on me )

Now at this point I really don't know what to do.

Do you guys think that if I hire an attorney, he can be able to fix this ?

Thanks for your time.

After thinking patiently, i have come to the conclusion that they have not received anything. Because when I paid this fee

I submitted the wrong alien number. The ones that were in error ,I just checked their passports and found out the alien number

for the three of them were the same alien number. So is obviously, if the system shows another alien number it will not show that they have paid this fee. Now, who do I have to contact... USCIS ELIS or Texas service center ?

And if you have the contact email address it will be very kind of you if you can pass it

Thanks again for any comment and I'm sorry to be bugging you with this

for that, I think, is best sorted either at

--ISO telephone call or

--InfoPass Walk in

as

this is all ELIS focused. (you paid at ELIS, numbers entered wrongly at ELIS)
