It would be about the 10th one started from this site. They never get enough signatures. The people of the US don't care if your spouse ever gets to the US. They are more concerned that the illegal down the street gets legal and suck more welfare out of the government.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I've seen at least two before and they had nowhere near the necessary amount of signatures to get attention. Sadly in the 21st century a better way of getting attention would be to post something like a picture of a separated couple accompanied by text on Facebook and get people to share and like as it requires less effort from people.

I doubt even that would work considering the number of "border closed" posts I see running around there. Most don't realize how hard it is to get a spouse into the USA and that they cannot just "move" here. And the other percentage just doesn't care.

IMO.. I don't think these petitions mean anything because they go nowhere.. I sign them but nothing happens.. But to actually get a statement from the White House I would suggest doing the "We the people" petition..

https://petitions.whitehouse.gov

If not mistaken it takes 150 signatures to get the petition posted public (which you might can get from campaigning VJ using both FB and here).. Then 100,000 to get a response (which probably is going to take some major campaigning and maybe even TV publicity)

I'd rather focus solely at folk who are staffers on the Immigration Oversight Committee, tbh.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
