Vawa was created to help aliens fleeing domestic violence and or extreme cruelty, not to people adjust status because left everything behind in their home Country.

Your friend has to prove she suffered extreme cruelty to the point she is now suffering major depression and or pos traumatic disorder. She needs to have a psychological evaluation to prove that. Extreme cruelty is a repetitive pattern of humiliation, degradation,threats, control,offensive language etc...

I saw many cases some women described "my husband was abusing me, he demanded I clean the house, cook, take care of his kids,well this is not abuse, it means the alien got married to a mean person.The abuse suffered must change the alien's behavior, such as the person was upbeat, outgoing,caring etc, now the person lives in fear, walking in egg shells,became hyper vigilant, the alien is having problem to sleep, eat to function properly.

thanks bud......Yea its been a year and a month now...we connect well on all levels though. First marriage happened to also be a Filipina and that was 31+ years.

Like I do say. Wisdom is everything. Why not let her be patient with him and do whatever it take until she gets what is hers...

Even if she take the Bio-metrics with you, they might invite both of them for interview for green card. What happens?

What we normally hear from USC is "Help, I need to deport my scamming Ex Wife back to her thatched hut".

Lets get back to basics:

She has been here shorter than some people come on vacation.

She knows one person, someone she had not seen for 10 years.

No money it seems.

No qualifications that would be of use in the US.

What is she intending to do, nails? What sort of life could she expect on a minimum wage job, assuming she could get one, when/if she is allowed to work.

If my husband treated me that way i would not desire to stay in USA i would more than be happy to return home to my loved ones. Considering i had given up my all or not back in my own country i would still want to be back in it and not in USA where i know no one , have no family, no finances.

If i was her i would go home . But that is my opinion anyway . :)
