My experience of fathers in my extended American family is that the deadbeat-ness is entirely unconnected with race. Through the myriad of the other half's family and their significant others, she thinks there are two that don't fall into that category, one of whom is yours truly.

As for the picture you mentioned, I'll go and find it. Hate mail for that kind of father-daughter moment just boggles my mind.
