I guess bashing blacks, gays, and anyone who doesn't think like Danno wasn't enough for him. I wonder who's next? Coretta Scott King? Or maybe Medgar Evans? How about James Meredith?

hush now marvin, don't you know if it weren't for "the man's" gracious allowance, neither of us would have a single human right at all. be grateful.

I dunno, this thing seems pretty simple to me. They want to do a all inclusive real movie about mlk, including the historic speeches and his affairs. But the family owns the rights to said speeches and won't allow them to be used in anything they deem to be disrespectful. Of course that's what they're going to do. Now the movie producers need to weigh whether the speeches or affairs are more important. So, show the good, or the bad, but not both. Assuming you were an investor in the movie, and we all know movies are about money, what would you want them to do?

Good question.

I think with the right promotion the movie would sell, even if it is weak at the box office over time, it would make a fortune.

Some movies have longevity simply due to the nature of the subject, kinda like the millions Al Gore made off his global warming scam. People were so desirous to

get his message out that it was shown everywhere.

So if I had money in it... and it had marque players involved, I would keep my money in.

The point he is trying to make is anyone would want to keep those details out of the lime light. I've heard stories about Mother Teresa that would contradict her sainthood persona. Doesn't take away what she accomplished in her lifetime. But you seem obsessed to tarnish him. Why? We have presidents that cheat on their wives, politicians that are corrupt to the core.

"hearing stories" is not the same as credible testimony.

Mother Teresa was not a social worker but rather someone who committed herself to be a servant of Christ. "Doing good works" does not give any of us a pass to do bad works... Least of all, a person whose position is as a Minister, Nun, Priest etc.

If Mother Teresa betrayed her vows, unrepentantly she should not be excused, the same goes for MLK.

All of us were several hats in life, worker, father, Husband citizen.

In Kings case, he also wore the hat of Spiritual leader, in that regard, it would seem he was a fraud, every bit as much as Jimmy Swaggert was as their actions were one in the same.

As civil rights leader, he gets a B+

His private life is his own.

Thank God you don't get to decide that.

Were you ready to let Jimmy Swaggert slide because he financially supported all those Orphans in 3rd world countries?

I never cared about Jimmy Swaggert. What he does is his business.

Same goes with this movie, if his family wants to keep his memory a certain way, they have that right.

You just keep trying to tear us down, any way you can.

Who is US?

You mean you and I

or

US Vs them

Maybe when the mentality changes from US as a select group, to US as a whole, including white people, we can move on

Who is "us"..... have you not gotten the news: Race is a social construct.

You are identifying yourself to others on something as meaningless as skin pigment.

There is only the "human race."

I'm talking about black people as a whole. But you've said we're a select group. You know the 80% you're worried about?

He made the comparison, not me.

My point is Danno is trying to say he is trying to elevate black people. Yet all I've seen him do is put blacks down day in, day out, on a forum that has, what, 1 and a half active members? I've yet to see a single positive story on black people since I've been here. Yet he wants to "help".

Marvin, do not lower yourself like that. You are more than half a active, black member. Be proud of who you are my man!!

I'm talking about Nature Boy. I only give him half credit. If I was going to rate myself, I'm two black men since I'm so awesome.

Today as I was out and about I stopped at a KFC for a little Chicken.

I ordered a 3 piece dark, meal, extra crispy.

When the Black girl laid the plate up on the country it looked "regular" style but I am not picky so I took it without another thought.

Just as I was getting ready to bite into the chicken, she comes to my table and asked me if I ordered Extra Crispy, to which I answered YES.

She apologized and said she would replace me order taking my plate, really it was not a big deal either way, but when she returned she brought back not just the order of Extra Crispy but also

a box full of food (I guess the first order, I have not opened it yet).

But you see, here two people had a pleasant exchange, one white, the other black.

Later in the day, I spent part of the afternoon with a pair of Black grand parents who were watching their grandDaughter. I can honestly say, I have NEVER seen a pair of Grandparents dote on a child with attention and love and leaning lessons than I have those two.

When I got ready to leave the little girl came over to me and gave me a big hug without reservation.

She had a unique name for a Black girl but I can't recall what it was, something like "Nebraska".... or something.

Beautiful family.
