I went to the embassy in Ankara and they said the visa will be approved so we will get the visa in the post office within a week. Can someone tell me how long it actually takes? It's been several days and my status online hasn't been updated so I am concerned I won't get it within a week (and my Turkish visa/residency is expiring in 10 days).

Can someone who is familiar with the Ankara Embassy tell me about the PTT Turkish Post Office sign-up? Our applicant summary for the CSC Visa Services website says "please note that you have not scheduled an appointment. The trip purpose you have selected is for information purposes only. In order to schedule the appointment you will need to select another trip purpose by clicking "schedule appointment at the bottom of the page." I did that but I still don't see confirmation that it was actually done.

Under the "additional advice" section it says:

"You have selected an information only trip purpose. You have not scheduled an appointment for an interview to obtain a visa. Please be sure that you have read the information above thoroughly. If you were asked to register on this site in order to select a convenient courier option, please print out this confirmation and bring it with you to your interview so that the Consular Section can confirm that you have selected a courier option."

Does that mean that when I took this piece of paper to the consulate, they confirmed it so I don't need to worry about it again?

Thanks!

Where is says there is no info on waybill number at this time... once it ships this will change and list the number. If you are not called by the post office in 3 days(after is ships) I would call them. They never called my husband to come pick up the package luckily he called before they sent it back to the embassy. And they no longer bring it to your home. You have to go pick it up at the post office listed at the bottom.
