HELP! - We have a letter from the London Embassy stating they received our case - but we have not received any Packet 3 or also below it states I should get a letter for Affidavit of Support Payment. We have not received any of this. We have completed the DS-160, my fiance has his medical scheduled for this coming Tues. I have sent a letter to the embassy asking them to resend the letter for packet 3 but I feel like we are missing steps since we dont have all the paper work. When I check our status on ceac.state.gov we show READY. Does anyone have the web address you get with packet 3? Or any help on what I would need to do next????? And should we have received a letter about the processing fee's already???? Thanks so much for all your support and assistance - it is appreciated more than you know. Dayle & Craig Pay Processing Fees

The National Visa Center (NVC) collects immigrant visa application forms, Affidavit of Support forms, and ensures all fees have been paid prior to the immigrant visa interview at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate outside the U.S. Review our fee payment FAQs.

Fee Collection

At the appropriate time, the NVC will send the following fee invoices:

  • Affidavit of Support fee invoice - will be sent to the petitioner; and
  • Immigrant Visa Processing fee invoice - will be sent to the applicant or the applicant's designated agent.

If an attorney is representing the applicant, the NVC will send both invoices to the attorney.

Both fees must be paid by one of these two options:

Do not send any payments directly to the NVC.

I hope that this helps! Please do not worry, every consulate is different, but we just kept getting emails and letters stating the exact same information (not sure if these are packet 3 or 4). As long as you have your inteview date, you are ok from my experience. You will receive a email / letter from the consulate about a week before your interview asking you to place the information / evidence in a specific order (contradicts all other instructions), but this will be the preferred order of evidence and review and will delay your interview by about an hour if you do not comply.

Try to remain calm you are almost there!!!!!!

Sincerely,

Chris and Vania (approved 01/14/2014)

Hi everyone - well I had sent a letter in the post to the embassy just in case letting them know about the letter we received and that we never received a packet 3 letter. IT WORKED!!! Today I received an email from the London Embassy providing me with a link to the packet 3 info and letting me know we are right on schedule and ready in the system.

Feeling so much better :-) Medical done yesterday just waiting on results!! Next step - INTERVIEW! Cant wait. Thanks again everyone!
