Finnish Tourist Visa for Russian Women

Does anyone know whether it is difficult for a Russian woman to get a Finnish Tourist visa? TIA

I am not sure how relevant this question is to this board, except that she is Russian. I am not sure, probably will depend on the officer at the embassy, but I would think it should not be a big deal, since Finland is still Europe and right next to Russia.

Good luck,

Mike.

I wanna say it's no problem at all. I think that's where everyone was saying Russian women should go when they're denied exit to the States at SVO or MOW. "Take the train to Finland, then fly out from there."

(There was a case or two of Russian wives being denied exit at the airports in Moscow because there was a visa question about their re-entry into the States. The Russians wouldn't let them leave the country via the airport. It was suggested that they simply take a tour to Finland (easy enough... just buy a ticket, get on the train and go. No visa issues there.) Then fly out from Finland. Why would the border guards there deny a Russian from flying out?)

I think they have a US/Canada type border.

Ensure your beneficiary makes and brings with them to the States a copy of the DS-3025 (vaccination form)

If the government is going to force me to exercise my "right" to health care, then they better start requiring people to exercise their Right to Bear Arms. - "Where's my public option rifle?"

Same would be true if they went to Kyiv. No visa required for a Russian to cross into Ukraine........

YMMV

It's very easy. My wife, who was a travel agent in Russia, did it all the time for people.

Cheers!

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

She should use a travel agent in Russia - they have the know-how. $150 USD for a multiple entry shengen visa. Easy. It's how Natalia got into Germany to see me over New Year's.
