I thought I would take the time to say hi as I learn my way around. Thanks to a post on Face Book - Visa Questions Answered-K1/I-130, I have joined this community.

I spent two weeks in Davao, Philippines from 12/27 - 1/10. My future wife is the daughter of my friend's Filipino wife so we had been communicating for quite some time before my trip. While there we are now engaged on 1/1/14 just after midnight. I proposed in front of the entire family while her mom was watching on Skype! Coming home was the worst part of the trip so I will return no later than March.

I will soon be sending in the I-129F once I get the 2013 tax return complete. I am self employed so I need to use last years income since I had such a good year.

The process seemed to be a bit confusing but thanks to the FB page and this site I'm sure it will go along pretty easy.

Thanks to all here in advance for the help and contributions.

Welcome.

I also am new to this site but it has been great bit of information and everyone here have been good to me with all of my questions. I also propose to my fiancé on new years as well :) and im from Virginia beach , va. So we are in the same process and in the same area. I also had a question about the tax return but I will use my 2013 tax return cause by the time I have to provide the support information I will have already filed. I am also self employed. Right now my fiancé is getting her visa photos done right now and I just type out the Letter of Intent and the g-325a biographic information form and emailed it to her. All she has to do is print the forms out and then sign her name and send both of the forms along with her photo and I can begin the I-129F.

Good Luck

Welcome to the forum and good luck on your journey! I found VJ only after we submitted our I-129f package with the help of a not-so-helpful lawyer, so you are definitely very lucky! Keep 'em coming! smile.png

I met Jessica online and it was just a casual hello and I am interested in you. A few months later my friends and I booked a vacation to the Philippines to see the sights and do some diving. I wrote Jessica and told her that I would be in Manila and please send me your phone number and I will text you when I get here and maybe we can meet. We were able to meet and I knew I liked her. We were able to meet again for a real date and I had no doubt that I want to spend the rest of my life with her. Currently I am awaiting for passport photos and a signed letter of intent from Jessica and then I'm ready to send the I29-f packet. I am 58 and she is 30.
