They will let him in. Just remember no big bags or electronics of any kind (including keys, cell phones) and the elevator opens from the rear, lol! What works great is 1 of those accordion style plastic binders that have many compartments. And it can be continued to be used to save documents, when it comes time to apply for the 10 yr greencard. And keep track of the dates that you leave the USA, in the future when ur filling out more forms, they ask, and you will have them handy

That is awesome! Unexpected good news dancin5hr.gif Yeah, we read about the no personal items... And it is so funny you said about the accordion plastic binder because that is exactly what we were planning on taking - my husband has one and uses it for travel so we thought it ideal :D As for saving the docs, I have a filing cabinet and a hanging folder is already designated for that purpose devil.gif Good tip to remember, as we usually fly out but in case we drive up to Toronto to see my mom... then there will be no stamp at the border and no way to remember unless I mark the dates down somewhere. Thank you for all the good tips goofy.gif

Yes your husband as a USC will be allowed in.

Thanks! That is great news for both of us dancin5hr.gif

Out of the blue earlier today I received 2 emails from Montreal almost back to back. The first one said:

"Thank you for your email. You may discuss your situation with the consular officer on the day of your interview."

The second one was more helpful:

"You may come to the interview and keep your passport. Once your travel is over, you may send us the passport in order to continue processing your immigration application."

I guess someone does read emails and attempts to respond to/address the issue... and it "only" took 2 weeks ;)

That's good you finally have an answer.

Yes, indeedy :) I will print and take to the interview and hopefully the consular officer will agree to proceed this way... or even better - commit to getting the visa issued in less than 10 days :D yes, I can dream! dancin5hr.gif

It's entirely possible. I had mine the next day.
