Anyone had interview for K1/K2 at CDJ in December?

My fiancee was approved a CDJ on 12/23. Every other person states it should only take 10 days to get the visa. CEAC website says that it was "issued" with updated date of 1/14. Ok still no DHL waybill number. I call 703-439-2313 and they state it was issued on 1/14 and they send email to embassy in CDJ to follow up. Check CEAC website again and it says updated 1/16? Was it updated because of my call? Does it usually take a month to receive now with computerized DS160 form? Is it because CDJ is so busy. Anyone else take longer than 10 days to receive?

I am concerned about this. Where was your visa sent? To your fiancee's hometown (where is it?)? or to a DHL site in Juarez?

I heard that the visa could be received the day after the interview/approval if mailed to a DHL site in Juarez. I hope to know because I have my fiance scheduled to stay in Juarez until he receives the visa. My concern for my own situation is growning :(

Ok I got the tracking number on the 16th at 1722. But it will take 2 to 3 days for them to deliver it I am told. It appears the first date updated on the CEAC website is the day of the interview. The second date 1/2 was the date it passed final review. The third date 1/14 was the date it went to have visa issued and last date of 1/16 is the date it went to DHL to be mailed out. Yes all the other posters will tell you it only took 3 to 10 days to get theirs. I believe this was before the DS 160 electronic form was introduced. I was told that CDJ is the busiest embassy in the world and that with the implementation of the DS160s the K1 Visa is lumped in with all the other visas and I can tell you from experience that K1s are outnumbered 200 to 500 to one. At the medical appointment we we the only K1 for the day and there were at least 200 other types of visas there to get medical. It took us 23 days with the holidays as well to go from approved to issued. I don't know if anyone else is having the same wait or not. Ya me voy a mexico mañana para mi amor.

Oh the visa is being sent from Juarez to Mexicali but it still took from 12/23 to 1/16 to get to the DHL in Juarez. So I would plan on plan B if you are considering waiting for it at Juarez.

Update: the website said out for processing on Thursday 1/17 but it didn't actually leave CDJ till 1/20 but the good news is it only took one day but it flew to central mexico before making it to Mexicali by 2:30 on the 22nd. The DHL Office is 100 yards from the east gate of the border and I was crossing by 3pm. I had a k1, 2K2s and two chihuahuas which the border agent said had K9 visas. Mission accomplished 28 days after interview at CDJ. Make sure that when you get waybill number you register on DHL website for Internet and text updates to let you know when packages arrive. Make sure your fiancee has a picture ID too the website only says birth certs but DHL Office said I'D too. My fiancee had none so we got a Mexican Sams club card. THANK YOU WALMART!
