Every day someone loses their lives due to a gunman going out and shooting someone, it's a tad bit more than 1%. The folks at Sandy Hook didn't die from gang violence. The folks in Colorado didn't die from a thug. The folks at DC didn't die from a gang banger.

Yet those are all you hear about. Those and our long lost friend in Sanford, Florida. I guess no one in the media cares when it's a bunch of thugs killing each other. I know I don't. Other than all the time I wasted here, I really didn't care about the TM/GZ thing either. None of those things affect me.

No one in the media cares about it because it's in the urban areas. Most of the time, it's not even gang members getting killed, it's kids getting caught in the crossfire. If any city that's mostly white got to the level of Chicago and the like, the problem would be solved really quick.

I don't want to interpret your words, so please correct me if I'm wrong. What it sounds like you are saying to me in a round about way is that if this happened in a white community the problem would be solved but since it happens in a black community it is allowed to continue.

If any city that's mostly white got to the level of Chicago and the like, the problem would be solved really quick.

The problem would be solved by handing out massive prison sentences (which I believe they do in some areas) to people caught with illegal weapons. I'd bet if that happened, Al and Jesse would be front and center screaming racism because the people sentenced to these massive terms would be mostly minorities. Until the black community starts accepting responsibility for it's current issues and stops blaming policies that were in effect 50-150 years ago, nothing is going to change. I can come back here in 10-20 years and people would still be arguing the same things.

Have a police station that gives a damn might work better. You have folks in jail for mandatory minimums on weed that trumps murder charges. These cases all started because of policies years ago. I can go to ESL and shoot someone, and get out before the cops even get out of the police station. They don't care. Have the programs that clean white neighborhoods do the same for black ones. Because if a place becomes too dark, they disappear. It's why the urban areas look like Beirut.

News flash, blacks do accept responsibility. Mothers that are on the news crying because they lost all four of their kids to gun violence when they were talking to the store or coming home from work, aren't blaming whitey. Their asking for help, more police, more funding for schools, things to change the environment while they work.
