I haven't received it yet.60-90 days is estimated approval time for ead.

I just had my biometrics appointment in the mail. Feb 19th. I'll try to walk-in tomorrow though in hopes to speed up the process by 14 days.

It'll happen. You've received the NOA1s, let it take it's course. I know the waiting is annoying.

Just got back from biometrics walk-in in Oakland on Edgewater Rd. What a great experience! Super friendly and quick process, 15 minutes tops.

We paid the full (non-subsidized) fee to a 501C3 organization to help us fill out the paper work. We were a little peeved because we had to wait a few weeks for an appointment and then they didn't send it out until the next week. I called them to ask them if I could pick it up and mail it myself (because I wanted to overnight it) and they said it was sent out that day (1/21) via US Mail. I can't imagine they didn't send it with some sort of tracking. We have heard nothing yet so I am assuming they didn't send the form for text/email messages and we have no way of knowing if the Cashier's checks have been cashed because they kept all of that. I thought we would have received the NOA1s by now and am starting to get worried (they sent an identity thief's dream).

I know the organization is reputable and is well respected in the community, but how long do you think we should wait to receive the hard copies of the NOA1's before we call them to try to track down what happened to the application? I guess they mailed it US Mail on the 21st so Chicago must have received it by the 24th (unless it takes them a few days to accept it). If they received it the 24th, this would be day 12. Hopefully we receive something tomorrow.

I couldn't stand it. I called today, they are so nice, and they gave me the cashiers check numbers and the bank confirmed that the checks were cashed on 1/31. I guess we should probably get the NOA1 in the mail any day now.

I called USCIS today and they were able to give me my reciept number. They recieved the package on 1/27. They confirmed my address as well, so I guess the snow has held up the hard copies.

Good for you! I haven't heard anything back from them. Might be the weather. How did you ask for your receipt number?

Hi Samlsen:

I called 800-375-5283 and followed the prompt to check my case status (I think #2) then selected that my receipt number was lost (I think again #2). Then I explained to them that I was waiting and worried about our personal documents getting into the wrong hands. They were really nice, but put me on hold for almost two hours, but there is an option to have them call you when its your turn. The second guy was also very nice and asked me a few questions to get the account information, then I had the number.

Our hard copies did not arrive today, but we were able to log on and now we can check our status electronically (for the I-130 at least because that is all I asked for). Let us know how this works out for you.
