Does anyone know when the I-130 is approved after the I-485 is approved? That one is still under Initial Review.

Oh and do they cancel the EAD since it's obsolete anyway?

hey congrats on your fast progress!!

did you take all the documents that you mailed do Chicago with you to the interview? (such as marriage certificate, joint bank account statements etc) or only some new evidence?

Dec 20th 2013 - got married in NYC

Jan 17th 2014 - received at Chicago Lockbox

Jan 23rd 2014 - confirmation in mail

Feb 11th 2014 - request for more evidence (they lost my birth certificate translation)

Feb 14th 2014 - Biometrics appointment

Mar 12th 2014 - changed to testing and interview

Mar 16th 2014 - interview appointment for Apr 16th :)

Mar 26th 2014 - EAD in production

Apr 5th 2014 - EAD in my hands <woop woop>

Apr 16th 2014 - interview and RFE

Apr 21st 2014 - RFE delivered

May 22nd 2014 - GC in production ;)

From what others have experienced, it seems the i-130 stays under initial review till a decision on the i-485 is made or the card is mailed out and/or received. so in your case, it probably might change to approved or some other status in a couple of days since they have already started producing your green card. Congratulations once again! :-)

I pretty much took everything I sent to Chicago with me (with the originals of the marriage certificate and my birth certificate) plus our joint credit cards and some other new evidence, but not a whole lot, to be honest. It seems like I provided enough to begin with. I sent in a bunch of photos from travels around the world, 3 affadivits of bonafide marriage, congratulations cards from my friends and family in Germany and travel itiniaries with flight bookings and hotels and stuff. We traveled a lot in the last three years, so we had lots of that kind of evidence that I think is quite substantial as you wouldn't travel around that much with a pseudo partner just to gain evidence.

On a side note, my I-130 is approved now and the I-485 is back to decision, but I gathered that this is normal. I can't find a tracking number though, which is kinda weird. We never got any texts/emails until the very first NOAs either. I am hoping to luck out yet again and to have the card here Friday or Saturday, that'd be swell. :)

im just counting down the days until april 16th 10:45 am :)

Had our interview in Seattle today, and got approved! :dancing:

12/10/12 - Started casually talking online via a game we both played

02/13/13 - First trip taken from NJ to Vancouver, BC to see each other

07/03/13 - Moved from NJ to Washington state to be closer

12/03/13 - Married

01/08/14 - Package sent in a box via UPS

01/10/14 - Package received per UPS tracking

01/14/14 - NOA1 x4 receieved via email/text at 9pm PST

01/24/14 - Biometrics appointment received, scheduled for 2/7/14

02/07/14 - Biometrics done at Seattle office

02/14/14 - I-485 status online changed to "Testing and Interview"

02/22/14 - Letter received that our interview is scheduled for 3/24/14

Just got another USCIS update that my EAD card has been mailed. I'm certain I should receive it latest by Friday. Does anyone know if the USPS guys will require signature or not. I am fine with them just dropping it in the mailbox. I just don't want to be up the whole time waiting for them to show up so I can sign.

No problem. My wife's was left in the mailbox. It took a few days to receive it after it was mailed from Kentucky.

I just tracked it and it's actually at their sorting facility just 7 min away from my house (I go past that post office almost every day). Hopefully they come early while I'm still at home because my wife and I have plans to go out later today lol. Good to know that I will be getting the EAD today though.
