Things move so fast! Nice. I'm going through the "unreadable fingerprint" rejection, but it seems many January filing are moving fairly quickly. Great.

Well, they changed to Testing and Interview earlier this week. That's all. No email, no texts as far as I know. Their notification system seems to be flaky, but I won't complain if it all moves that fast. A little over a month till we know what's happening, it seems like I nailed our packet though, which is a good feeling. smile.png

I really wonder why some cases go through faster than others.

One thing is clear though, having done the Walk-In biometrics has sped up the whole process tremendously. I was scheduled to have the biometrics done on the 19th of February. I seriously saved time here.

01-16-14 Received at USCIS

01-17-14 Check cashed out

01-23-14 Hard copy receipts received

01-29-14 Biometrics notice received

02-06-14 Fingerprint rejection notification + new biometrics notice

02-12-14 Original schedule for fingerprinting

02-13-14 Second fingerprint walk-in

02-21-14 Original second schedule for fingerprinting

02-25-14 Status changed to "testing and interview"

03-04-14 Interview email notice (for 04-09-14)

I went for walk-in biometrics today in the Boston office and did not have the kind of pleasant experience that most people here did. First they asked me why I came so early and not on my scheduled date. Then they simply said they could not do it today. They did tell me to come back on Friday though.

Hope all of us get everything done soon and good luck to you all!

The office in Maryland I went to was the same. They gave everybody trying to do early walk in a really hard time. You'd better come up with your own excuse before you go. I was so closed to being turned around and they were very mean....

Was the office crowded though? I did notice that there were a lot of people in the Boston office and maybe that's why they told me to come back later.

I am sorry to hear people are having bad experiences with their bio-medical walk-in's, but there is no need for them to be discourteous. They seemed a bit confused when we did our walk-in, but no one else was there the young lady was very gracious. It may indeed depend on how busy they are.

Yeah I personally think the success of biometric walk-ins depend on the office (whether they honor it or nor per their policy), the number of people there and the courtesy of the staff. Portland is generally a cool place with very friendly people and the office usually has very little traffic so they don't ask any questions when you show up. Might make you wait for about 10 minutes but that's all. Personally I told the lady, I wouldn't be available on the day mine had been scheduled and she said, that was fine. Didn't ask any questions, just gave me the form to fill.
