How many undocumented Democrats are in this country.... Labor ,,,low cost labor is here to stay until borders are tightened and we ship a mass of people back home.Your"new" economic model is socialism ?

There are no undocumented Democrats in the USA. I am not an economist and I don't have a new economic model, but I do know for sure that low labour costs and cheap power which drove the economic powerhorse that was the USA in the late 18th, 19th and early 20th century are gone. As far as I know the US isn't a world leader in the production of anything. Until and unless there is another source of cheap power, that's not going to change.

It's a global recession AND the US is no longer the country that leads in manufacturing. The US is never going to grow at double digit rates, it's going to be lucky if it grows in the high single digits. Obama is not the reason for this, and to be fair nor is Bush. The problem is that no one in politics will actually address the idea that the economic model we have been so used to is now redundant and a new model needs to be put in place, one that places a premium on sustainability and conservation . Virtually free energy and labour is over.

You might want to read up on the promises that FRACKING bring...... energy just got a whole lot cheaper and plentiful for a long time to come.

Yet it won't save us.

Does Amazon sell cars and RVs now? How can there be such a boom in car (+15.7% in 2013) and RV (+11.7% in 2013) sales if the economy is as battered as you say it is? Home sales are up, too.

You might want to investigate why these two statements are different and why this does not mean that the US suddenly has cheap energy that will ensure economic boom-time. However, if none of that interests you because you haven't heard about it at your tea party rally, or while watching fox snooze, just go back to blaming Obama for all your woes, it's easy.

Danno, you'll have to quit waiting for hand-outs and put in a bit of effort. Certainly googling auto sales and RV sales for 2013 is something that even a slouch can accomplish. Question is, can you? Or are you wholly dependent on things being handed to you for free?

We have a JC penny here that's pretty nice. I think it'####### or miss with some of these big chain stores. We have a K-Mart near us that I wouldn't step foot in again, but a few towns over there is another K-Mart that's really nice. One of my favorite stores to shop since I was a kid is Sears, I hear they are having problems too.

i shop jc penney. but only clearance and online. almost everything they sell is way over priced so they can 'discount' it and give the illusion of door-busting sales. same as kohls.

whoever finds gay people 'distasteful' and makes their shopping decisions based on the photographed sexuality of the retailer's models, needs to grow up. and lol that you think those concerned xian mothers are what put jc penney under. big, hearty, lol.
