not likely. I tried to get a tourism visa for my wife after we married in Malaysia and it got rejected. they're afraid of visa overstays I think. it's ridiculous and cruel, but those are the rules.

You can try for a b2 tourist visa. There's no rule that says he can't apply but just be prepared for the outcome.

How is it ridulous and cruel when so many B-2 visitors lie and abuse the visa?

Why can't the US spouse go visit? What's stopping that?

There used to a "V" Visa before 2000 where spouse of LPR could visit while their application is pending. they scrapped that. Oh well Congress!

It's called limited vacation time buddy. sure the US spouse can go visit but considering the spouse visa can take a year or more, 3 weeks together is not much time together as husband & wife. it is cruel when a husband and wife can only see each other for that amount of time during the year. your lack of compassion is distasteful.

There is nothing stopping him from visiting her, NOTHING. People get denied because people abuse their visas, that's why, the US doesn't owe anything to anyone just because they are married. Far too many people come here on visitors visas and never leave.

It's not a lack of compassion. If people did not abuse the visitor visa, then there wouldn't be a trust problem.

Blame the difficulty of getting visitor visas on those who abuse them.

Don't put he blame of not being able to get visitor visas on those of us who own family cannot also visit like your spouse because of those who abuse the visitor visas.

There are valid reasons why the rules are te way they are.

Get mad at the people who violate the rules rather than those who support the rules preventing more visitor visa violators.

If you have the visa, F2a, why not USE the visa ?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
