The problem is not the money...it's her attitude.

I pay every bill. Noroblem, I got it.....

She keeps everything she makes. About 2500 net a month? She can do whatever she likes with it. My objection is that she blindly takes care of her sisters. Even the one that married rich. And when I try to talk to her, she gets all defensive. Like I'm the bad guy.

I wouldn't be so pissed off if she'd just have a conversation with me. And I wouldn't be so pissed off if she even contributed 25 bucks a month to daughters 529. (I put in 500)

And, every time I buy something, she has something to say about it. Remember if you will, I had 2 spare iPads from staples sale. She scolded me for buying them. But it was ok when her sister wanted one. Then it wasn't ok when I wanted to give the other one to my distant niece, but it was ok for tiffs cousin to bring it to Malaysia for the youngest SIL, whom I bought a Kors for back in march when I was in Malaysia.....

What part of this isn't she f*ing seeing?

Well, you kind of set up this problem with the her/his money and letting her do what she wants with her income. All income should be going into the household pool and then being divvied up. Even without joint accounts, you should be able to do this, or you could even create an additional joint household expenses account. Give her an amount to auto-transfer every month or transfer to your daughter's account. You've got to share this budgeting together; sit down and go over all the finances.

The other issue is not fixable unless they wrong her badly in some way or she tires of their mooching.

On my wife's first try at the written test, she missed passing by that one question It was probably a good thing, as after she really started paying attention to all the road markings and signs and was asking me questions. Coming from a country where she drove but they don't really follow any rules other than who got their first and who's bigger, it was a good thing she studied more.

They waited 90 days and it was OK because they never got caught! If he was in Crystal, they have some dink cops in Crystal. Got a ticket there once for right turn on red. They had just put up the sign, and it was a drive I made almost weekly, so I didn't notice it. Also it made no sense in that location either. Wide open view, turning from 81 to a side street. Six months later the sign was gone again. Made me wonder it they put it up where it made no sense just to issue tickets.

The officer writing the ticket is always right, even if they're wrong. Who's got the time to go to court to argue something like that? Or is this one were a court appearance is required?

Yeah, I think it was Crystal because they impounded his car there. I wouldn't be surprised if you're right about them making up rules to increase the amount of tickets. B*tches!

1- a summons is issued in lieu of arrest (All states). So NY-VTL- 509-1 (unlicensed operator) is actually what is known as an arrestable offense.

2- Your car may be impounded for an array of reasons if you are issued a summons, or are arrested.

example-

DUI-car may be seized for forfeiture

Unlicensed op- impound awaiting qualified operator, or awaiting proof of insurance, regi, etc

suspicious vehicle- determine true owner

So I just got reemed out by my step-dad because apparently he asked hubs to shovel the area around our car (only our car, as he had already done his and my mom's) and hubs didn't do it. Now, it is my guess that hubs didn't understand because he would never outright ignore a direct request like that, but what I don't get is this ridiculous anger from my step-dad. Does it really matter if we shovel our own parking spot, anyway? Who is it hurting if we don't? It's just snow, for Christ's sake, and it's half melted by now, anyway.

Another glaring reminder that we need to gtfo of here asap. Urgh.

yea I know. But again, it's not the $ that I have a problem with. It's the principle. I need for her to have a better mentality. The way she is, if anything happens to me, she'll get ripped off.....

In this case, you can consider it "warn and admonish"

In NJ, they have written warnings, you get 2 for the same thing in 12 months, they mail you a summons.

wacko, they can't impound a vehicle for a driver having lack of state license. The vehicle is legally insured and registered? they shoulda let him park it and let you drive it home.
