Obviously Steve is the one wearing the skirt in house.. his wife is walking all over him on family matters

Maybe he should just heed Betty White's advice: "If you wanna be tough, grow a vxxxxx." content.gif

We always wanted to buy a snow blower at the beginning of the winter but then never materialized. sleep.png

Which brand of snow blower would you recommend?

The brand doesn't really matter. You can pay a lot more for a name brand and get a lot less snow blower. I had some off brand one called a snow king, 8HP two stage, electric start. It got left with the ex, but they're still using it there over 25 years later.

ya, that makes sense - buy a used one 20 years or older (hence not made in China) that's still working.

Tiff can pay Gumps rent if she wants. She doesn't see a dime of my money.

Tiff to Steve: Your money is my money but my money is mine only smile.png

From now on, I'm handing her the cable and 1 electric bill. (There's 3 meters in this house) comes out to about...350....may be I hand her the water bill for this house....comes out to 2400 a year.....let her think about spending all her money on other people..........

That is a good start to make her responsible for some of the household bills.

Hey, Steve, what about setting aside a certain amount per year to use towards family and their expenses (including your increased utilities), let's say $2400. She can use it any way she pleases, but it is not to be gone over?

Crappydoodles - Houston is mostly shut down due to an ice storm.

I hate hearing about TxDot showing up mid morning to de-ice the roads here.

I liked the Dallas Reports - TxDot standing by at 3 AM to de-ice the roads.

So, Ali got pulled over last night by a female cop. She accused him of driving without a license, even though we were told by our insurance company that he had six months (and the govt says 3...apparently MN is 60 days????!!). She wrote him a citation and impounded his car. She had another officer come and frisk him and throw him in the back of a cop car then drove him home. All this happens at about 12am this morning...of course it happens on the night that I'm overnight at work.

So we got his car this morning and then went straight to Arden Hills to see if he could pass the knowledge test. He didn't crying.gif

So now, I have to drive him to and from work and somehow work that into my schedule. I'm not even mad at him. The female cop sounded like a huge c*nt and refused to listen to anything he had to say.

$2400, that would be a deal. Lets see rent in NY to Gump and the SIL at $1200 a month, the next 10 years should be paid for. Heck I wouldn't mind if we only spent $2400 a year on my wife's family.

Well that's all well and good but we were told by our insurance company that we had more time.

Plus, who the #### has time to take off work to go do this shi* right after they've just started? He doesn't have access to pto yet.

What do they de-ice roads with in Houston?

I was in Tennessee once when they got an inch of snow. They just shut everything down for two days until it all melted.

OMG, I am so sorry. I remember having to drive the Dane to work every day. That was a huge PITA. I'd be super pissed at your insurance company for giving you the wrong info. I asked the DMV in CT if it was ok for him to drive on his international license after getting the CT permit and they said yes, but with some digging that would not have been the case. Even the DMV lied to me! States need sections of their websites devoted to this new immigrant and driving laws thing.

Well that's all well and good but we were told by our insurance company that we had more time.

Plus, who the #### has time to take off work to go do this shi* right after they've just started? He doesn't have access to pto yet.

Yeah, the Dane had to take a day and then some to get his permit, not paid of course. His boss understood, though, which is good. Would have only taken one day if the DMV permit lady had any idea what a CR1 visa with an endorsement stamp meant. ranting33va.gifranting33va.gifranting33va.gif

Ouch! Did he know St Paul is the capitol of Minnesota? Thats a free two points. My wife answered Minneapolis. So much for the book on Minnesota I gave her a year before she came here. laughing.gif

Which community was he in when he got nailed. Never trust your insurance company folks to know the actual law. I could have told you her only had 60 days and not the visitor time period. The same applies to K-1s even though they're technically not an immigrant visa.

Doesn't someone with a license from England only need to pass the written test?
