this thread is very very bad for my diet :(

i brought lunch today - wholemeal wrap with smoked salmon, lettuce, sliced cherry tomatoes and yoghurt dressing.

now i feel like tossing that and indulging in a pint of rocky road instead.

Blagh, you're telling me. I'm usually pretty good about sticking to my macros but lately ice cream has been calling my name. Haven't fallen yet, but feeling very tempted.

Jada you're looking to move back to Europe?

you just came back?

No.

Just general observation as it snows here every other freaking day and I have to drive in it because HELLO they of COURSE make me work from the office now and it keep going -40 with wind chill and it's halting my shipments and my car can BARELY start.

The engine turned over a good 7 or 8 times this morning before it makes this awful quick GRIND noise and starts.

Every. Morning.

Don't like Gucci. I am a DIY-er, would rather sew/bead/knit/make my own stuff than buy it for 1000 times the price retail.

Maybe J should make us a car... tongue.png

I suggest, instead, a volvo 740 turbo sedan as yer first car in The Americas.

Why? insurance will be cheaper, is very safe if you get in a T-bone accident if you wear the seatbelt, and most other drivers not mess with older Volvos, knowing their car won't survive the wreck.

Then, after a year, go get something newish, you'll have a one year history of driving in the USA, rates will be cheaper for you with 1 year of history.

If you think you'll turn into a reclamation specialist for yer DIY activities, get the station wagon version, instead, as they can haul a lot of gear and kit.

Usually find a well-maintained volvo in the 1200 to 1700 range. Oh, and stay away from mitsubishi eclipse - you will become a stereotype (asian driving rice-burner car, will be challenged by other car club members to race and upgrade - is not nice here, they are very thuggish about it)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

should the opportunity arise...yes. I am just throwing it out there and seeing what comes first. If I am willing to move to California, might as well look for a job in Edinburgh or Geneva.

is the benz considered a luxury car in the US?

sometimes. depends on year model and income and social strata and living area. Older ones usually bought not as luxury cars, but as safer cars for teenagers to drive.
