trying to catch up with the thread...woah, 10+ pages...ok nvm, shall skip ahead.

my colleague (who's still on maternity leave) brought her month-old baby to the office today for midday snuggles. sooo cute and still smelling of newborn. the little kiddo had a poo in my arms, and i'm still infatuated with him. luv.gif

might be checking out a club over the weekend that apparently does ladies night specials on saturday evening instead of the usual mid-week wednesday. they'll do unlimited, free housepours if you have ovaries. i haven't been to a ladies night since i started work as it is generally unbecoming to crawl in to the office hungover. my liver is a little trepidatious, but also excited. :D

Uncle Darnell's Barbarian Cold-Weather Dressing Tips:

Wind is a killer.. Need to stop wind getting to yer body.

1. wear a hat, it stops the heat from escaping.

2. wear gloves.

3. get some duct tape, put around your wrist area, closing the gaps between coat and wrist. not like duct tape? use heavy string or light rope.

4. use a scarf, inside the coat, as wind buffer/killer. do not use duct tape around yer neck (as that is sorta stupid)

5. tie a rope around your hip-level (this usually below waist line) and cinch it tight - this stops wind from going up yer body.

6. loose pants at ankle? more duct tape, use at ankles.

that's it, that's all. use most of my tips, you not freeze.

You'd freeze to death in Minnesota you marklar. Layers, lots and lots of layers. The rest is good though. BTW I've used duct tape around the neck a number of times when my dry suit seal split. Kind of a pain to get it off again, but it worked.

Sure it is, dinner means lunch and supper is well supper tongue.png

Dinner is the largest meal of the day, it doesn't matter when you eat it, as it could even be breakfast.

Free drinks for the ladies all night, and free ladies for the guys at the end of the night. That's what ladies night really means.

To insult someone here, we say it like a politician......

"Trust me!" (means #### you) smile.png

We used to associate "trust me" with a particular ethnic group. We expect politicians to F#ck us over.

What a coincidence, we do the same thing smile.png

I'm thinking we need to change that definition to weathermen. They must be to blame for this cold weather here. Either that or its because Canada blows. If this goes on much longer, my wife is going to demand being returned to the Philippines. Its much warmer in cube land.

Just broke down and put my portable heater on. Having a large corner office isn't a good thing when it gets this friggen cold out.

post it anyway so we can make fun of you, laugh at your expense, take pleasure in your misfortune, rub it in, gloat, make ourselves feel better based on your shortcomings, talk down to you, and a few other things that us humans do....

lpop but incoming....

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.
