A 2-year-old (at least until Friday) runs the operation, and Mrs. T-B. is not to be trifled with when under stress, wee and no man. It is suspected that Mrs. T-B. misplaced the remote, she man.

ok - bonus points for having 5 to 7 spares, properly programmed with working batteries, carefully hidden inside _YOUR_ man cave. Renew supply each year.

I've known many Singaporeans, they've all done ok to adjust here. I think you'll be fine.

But that's in New York. Except for the cold, she might not notice she's in a different city-state if she was going there.

So I was talking to Jonas about how I'm a little anxious about moving over in May, because I've never lived away from my parents, except for the four years at uni, and even then, I went home every fortnight or so. He got kinda worried when I said I'd be "depressed" at the beginning, so he started a thread in the "moving here and your new life" forum about 'fitting in in America' but has forbidden me to read it. tongue.png

How much of a foodie are you?

How Chinese are you?

run the venn diagram, and let me know, as my further answers depend on your answers.

Nota.Bene.: I got tyled to the Lodge of Foodies in Singapura, picked up excellent skills, and can get you on the right path so you'd not feel so alienated. Regardless, you must get a drivers license, insurance, learn to drive a car, as this is a must.

There are hardly any Singaporeans in Minnesota. sleep.png

I have people asking me if I am Vietnamese, Lao, Hmong.. dry.png

I always said I am from Singapore and Singapore IS NOT part of China.

I am doing fine adjusting to life here. Maybe because I am a strong willed, independent person.

Yah, who let you sneak into the state? You need to be Vietnamese, Hmong, or Lao, to get let in here. Or at least you'd guess thats the case by the number of them here.

BTW do you know any place that has Singapore spicy crab in this city?

I got the "oh is that in China?" question a lot too. rolleyes.gif

People think I'm hispanic in the US. Actually...I should totally learn Spanish. Now that would be useful.

Your go-to revenge, I see!

Tis the best I've found, for shutting down an adversary for 24 to 48 hours. Repeat as needed.

what a busy couple of days I've had....I can't even relax now.

I'm going to have to take a couple of days off.

One of the company cars got into a T-bone (not T-bag) collision this morning. 2 of my employees went to the hosp. We now have like 4 pregnancies and 2 injured going on.....that's 6 people out in a company of 25+5. Or about 25% of my work force....

what do I do Skip?

go find a new company to work for? lol

I have not found a place that sell Singapore spicy crab in the twin cities yet..

This place is not bad for Malaysian/South East Asia food.

There is currently a Groupon deal for it.
