Geez...According to some threads, that's physical abuse by making you work around the house...

Throw in the emotional pain and mental torture of enduring a bloody finger and burnt hand...

Voila you have a VAWA case here. smile.png

And she hasn't gotten a job yet, so he's not letting her work, more mental abuse!

Been seen here before. In the right state, yes its allowed. But the petitioner needs to live in the right state, was what came up last time. I think it was the state of Texas last time, which I don't believe allowed it.

Yeah that's what I was reading.

Never thought about calling that the most dramatic, but it fits rofl.gif

Wow even going to Texas again. No wonder they make it so badly against the law there, immigrant Texans seem to love marrying their cousins. rofl.gif

Did you see it in theraters? I'm jealous. I'm only an hour in, but it's such a lovely picture of a true relationship. At least SO FAR.

It will probs make me cry.

On another note, I just read the book The Fault in Our Stars and it made me cry. The film should be good.

I read one the other day about a couple who filed knowing that the ben. was banned from the US for 10 years. They were shocked and sad when they received their denial.

LAWL.

I mean, I shouldn't laugh as I had my own travesties with immigration but that's just so so so obvious.

Ok maybe speaking two similar languages was a slightly bad idea. I keep writing things in Danish, while even reading them in Norwegian. :crying:

I have this problem with French. Somehow I switch Spanish grammar into French dialogue and end up sounding like a real moron. Yay language!

In most hill billy states, "Opening Day" (hunting) is a national holiday :). I'm not kidding.

It is here in southern PA :) I never once had to go to school on the first day of hunting season. Edited by oohpartiv

I took many many many years of French and I did have a problem with Spanish the first time I took it in high school because any time I didn't yet know a word, I just wanted to insert the French word. Norwegian and Danish are much closer than Spanish and French though, so even if I wrote completely in Danish it would be about 90% the same.

An easy example of the problem is like this:

Norwegian: Takk skal du ha!

Danish: Tak skal du have!

English: Thanks you shall have.

Then there are notes in my Norwegian book that using the Danish pronunciation of sentences is the correct way to do it, despite the sentence being different. Umm ok?

I think it is pretty plain almost to see that English should probably be considered part of the Scandinavian language tree http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2012/11/121127094111.htm
