It is post marriage, so I'm f-ed anyway if we get divorced. Better be nice to my husband. ;) I let him drool over guns today at Cabela's, despite it being my birthday. I think I've got big brownie points!

Congrats on the house guests moving.

Thanks. Trophie, and happy birthday!

Happy Birthday!

Hubs and I share a birthday. I haven't a CLUE what to get him this year.

That puts you on par with Tiff lol

My ex driver/friend Selena , Tiff, and the ever so important town hall secretary where my property is share a birthday.

We've all resorted to the Danish style of picking out our own gifts.

I picked out this for my birthday from my mother this year:

It was way cheaper than that at the Williams Sonoma Outlet. I dare say it was purchased for basically a song and a dance.

My husband does the same as me, we both have lists of things we want. I've already picked out my Valentine's day gift and he's decided to put the money towards a hunting rifle. Whatever floats his boat.

That's a nice knife set. I have one a those....um....nipponese thingys.....um...a Shum?

Hey depending on how my year goes, Dutch is welcome to join us hunting. I promise I won't shoot him in the back :D

A Shun, that's what I have...

Yeah, I had the option between that, a Shun, or another German brand, but this had more knives for the money. Maybe they are a little lower on the quality scale, but I've been using my $8 chef knife for pretty much everything for the last 9 years, so I'm not picky.

Did you launch it with all your might? And killed the poor little spider?

Jada bad! Bad Jada!

well, I did put a lid on the wok so I suppose he could have survived....there was a little hill below the balcony so maybe the impact was not so big blush.png

and fyi I launched it lightly so he doesn't mysteriously jump up at me thru the glass lid.

I have one knife that I use for everything. When I was moving, a lot of things had to get thrown out or left behind like TV (given away) and all my furniture (that I sold at 10% of the actual price...ugh) and my kitchen stuff (cray5ol.gif )

That is the hard part about moving countries. You waist so much money either buying new things or shipping the old.

Don't worry, you'll have a house full of your own nice things again soon.

LOL to the waste thingie.

I had ikea closet one time..when I lived with my ex...he attempted to put it together and put the door on backwards. That was the end of my ikea adventures.

When I was in college though...I had the futon with wheels...loved it and then I had the other one thats made out of wood and then I threw them out and just kept the mattress. And also had a lamp from Ikea and a carpet - yellow one, I still have it back at my house in the Czechland.

Watching Iron Chef America on Amazon Prime got the 30 day free trial.

Hang in there J.

I am hanging...

in all honesty...I enjoy thinking about what I will do to get out of my situation and plan it out and think of all the possible outcomes and all that. It all begins with my phone interview. yes.gif
