well apparently it's hard to digest for some people... well most people. But some worse than others, and if you're lactose intolerant you could also be sensitive to other things like gluten. My mom randomly became allergic to kiwi in her 50s and wasn't before then (I distinctly remember her eating kiwi as a child.) So you can become more sensitive to items later in life. He just has IBS from it, which isn't fun at all. So whatever makes him feel better, I'll try. I can eat almost everything, it just requires me to learn new recipes and shopping habits.

I was 38 when I suddenly developed a number of food allergies. Among them are mushrooms, onions, garlic, cashews, and chocolate. Some are worse than others, but they seem to add up on each other. Mushrooms are real killers for me. My change in diet to Filipino food has reduced how badly I'm affected. Although my wife mentioned just this morning that she does skip or reduce how much much garlic and onions she puts in because of how it affects me.

How does it affect you?

Gives me hives on the inside, the Intestinal tract and in the lungs. Eventually the hives show up on the skin to. I know its happening because I get really bad gas, that smells so bad I need to get upwind of myself. Breathing starts getting tight to, and eventually I'll start getting fluid in my lungs. Mushrooms can bring it all on really fast, like in minutes my body is reacting.

That Tarklar's gonna have to take a break from stuffing sausages later, so he can attend the closing ceremony of this thread...

Shouldn't that comment be directed at Darnell?

Nope I do not. The allergy is something that builds up over time, except with mushrooms. I'm pretty careful about avoiding mushrooms, but I feel it really fast to, so I can stop and just suffer for a while. A good antihistamine works to counteract the symptoms normally.

It is now Friday again. When did I say Gump found an apt? Mid January? Early Jan?

He says the apt is a mess, and that he has to clean it up before they can move in.

I'm gonna go take a look at it later and see what the deal is.....

Of course its a mess, he has his card playing and drinking parties there every day.
