IBS is basically the doctors saying we don't know what's wrong so we're going to say it's IBS. If he is feeling better wheat free he is either like me and is allergic to wheat, or has celiacs and just not showing up on tests. It's really is hard to test for it as most doctors don't order the right test, and then if you don't have enough inflation it will give you a negative result even if you have it.

Celiacs can make you have all kinds of symptoms like chronic fatigue even, bloating, constipation and many many other things. I've been tested for it but it comes back negative even though I'm allergic to wheat. The problem with wheat allergies like mine is that gluten free isn't enough, as some gluten free stuff still has wheat, they just remove the protein from it that effects ppl, or they use a different type of wheat.

My mother basically had IBS with all the symptoms, but the doctor said that it wasn't. Either way that low fodmap diet helped. I'd look into it.

Nik you guys buying yes?

And I hope you do get back to school. Have you decided what you're going for?

I always have yogurt and acidophillis in my fridge now. Some times I feel like #######. I think sometimes my digestive tract is causing my GERD also.

Yes we want to buy. I figure a condo also would provide us with an income later if we want a bigger place. I decided the radiologic technology would be a good fit for me. They are building a huge hospital in the Aurora area but even if I had a night job, we could do it. I have been figuring out costs etc. I wouldn't be able to even start the pre requisites until Jan 2015 as I cannot show domicile in Colorado until Oct 2014, which is too late for the school term. But that's fine, it's more time to save up and figure things out too. I can likely get student loans and pay them back. I did some online calculators and even if I paid for all of it via student loans, I'm well within the "safe zone" of being able to pay it back if I work in my career field after college.

I find that yogurt and probiotics (Acidophillis) both help my digestive track when it feels like #######.

Nik I'm lactose intolerant too. And I did read up on like eliminating wheat also. I take a probiotic. It works.

I'll suggest a probiotic to him.

My husband refuses to go to a doctor to be tested for anything. He's a bit of a hypochondriac. He'll find things on the internet until it makes sense to him about what's wrong; this one has stuck. I don't think he's celiac, at least he wasn't as a child. I think he's just sensitive and it's not really IBS. Most of it's mental IMHO but whatever makes him feel better is what I want to go for. So if that means more rice, buying "gluten free" items and eating a lot more veggies and fruit, I'm all for it. It's healtierh anyhow. He's had nerves problems since he was a child, just anxiety in general but it's come out a few times inconveniently or embarrassingly. His job, unless he's actually fixing something, is not mentally stimulating enough to keep him from worrying either. It's why he plays video games to keep his brain occupied. So we go with what makes him feel better. Eating yogurt, drinking water, cutting out wheat products, etc... He feels more in control mentally and is happier. Which makes me happier. YAY! (no one said I had to give up bread or pasta... LOL)

I take probiotic also makes a big difference. I have a friend who is a hypochondriac I wish she would stay out of the doctors I swear they give her pills surgery and stuff just to shut her up. Eating better definitely can't hurt, I'd let ya know if it worked for me but I like my breads :P

I looked very briefly at radiology,I wish I had the brains for the classes, and the time. I'm going back to school next year just need to make up my mind what to take, I was thinking I could handle medical coding.

I did really well in biology in high school, I did decently well in chemistry and had above average math marks. I would have to take some pre-requisite courses which would hlep to get my mind back into learning mode too. After I haven't been in school since 2001.

I suck in school, I have a learning disability so I don't tend to have much hope in some subjects. My husband doesn't understand my thinking but I'm well aware of my abilities.

Hubby's tattoo went very well today. :) He says it just feels like a bad sunburn, which he thankfully has a lot of experience in, and thus isn't too bothered. Growing up on the beach will do that to you, I guess. :P

So I had an online quiz for one of my classes today and accidentally hit the wrong answer for one of the problems. It was the only question I got wrong, and it gave me an 80%. mad.gif Grumble grumble.

J, lots of luck with that job! And Darnel, I'm glad to hear your Dad is doing better. Hope you had a nice first night with your wife. smile.png
