I will admit I found lots of good food here. But some of the southern stuff like grits, gravy, and greens are not going anywhere near my plates.

bribe her with straight a's

I don't like to praise her. That'd be a typical parent. Even Gump praises his kid.....

But she took the assessment for gifted and talented kids. I'm anxious to see the results.....

I bought a book to assess her myself. She was doing pretty good with it.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT

I love grits

and gravy

and greens

and all of it mashed together

omggggggg i would kill a kid for grits casserole

Stretch is outta her mind I tell ya. We should call HER wacko!

yes don't give her any positive feedback

Oh I do. I mean I don't like to praise my child to others.

I don't like to say she's very well behaved. All that stuff....

But I know she's a smart, well behaved child. And she knows that too.

Well this is a turn. My father is on a life-flight helicopter , headed into Houston, he had a stroke.

Apologies if I not post for a while.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

That's good. I remember that kind of stuff from when I was younger, but they don't do it here, maybe because pretty much all of the kids are crazy smart? I've made a choice that seems a bit more common among Jewish families, but I've chosen not to push my daughter academically. I won't test her IQ or push her into reading. The pre-K at the synagogue here teaches like that, but most of my daughter's classmates went to one of these ritzy pre-Ks that just goes over the top with academics.

oh no darny sad.png I'm sor sorry! We'll keep him in our thoughts and you as well.

i know the leave time and scheduled arrival time. the hospital is just down the train-track from my school. I will shift outta here in the next 10 minutes.

is all a shock. dad has a stroke and my wife arrives tomorrow. i am certain i won't cope with much and did not bother to hire a personal assistant this season, thinking i wouldn't need one. I'll fob off much to my wife's personal assistant and maybe be ok.
